the flop was 88J (i bet, he call)
the turn J ( i bet, he re-raise me, i go all in, he call)
the river J
my opponent had K J.

I join a lot of SnGs and satellites and always encounter this guy who loves going all in pre-flop on me whenever he gets premium hands and I'm always carrying pocket pairs.

I've called with 5 5, 4 4, 10 10. So far I've won all of them (about 4 - 0) and he has yet to pair one his premiums.

In one card room as soon as he saw me he clicked to 'Sitting Out' before the game had even begun and never returned.

One of my luckiest ever live hands has me on the opposite side of this story with 55 versus JJ and a 55J flop.

One of my luckiest ever live hands has me on the opposite side of this story with 55 versus JJ and a 55J flop.

My luckiest hand ever was similar. 2/5 table.

I had bought in for $500 and ran it up to $4000 in about an hour. No skill, just catching everything and the other players assuming I had to be bluffing because no one could get that many boats, straights, and nut flushes, but I did. Along the way, I did have to show a couple of bluffs when I got caught.

There is a guy on super-tilt. He had just re-bought the max $1000. I had seen him rebuy $1000 twice before and he was already complaining about being the most unlucky player in the world when I got to the table, so no telling how far he was down. Pre-flop he makes it $35 and I put him on decently high pair.

I hold 55 and call hoping to make a set or fold. The flop is 335. I check. Mr. Super-tilt bets a pot sized $100. One player folds and I reverse bluff to $300. He insta goes all in. Maybe he has AA? He has already shown he will way overplay stop pair.

I have the second best possible hand and pause only long enough to make sure I haven't misread the board, I call. He flips up his pocket 3s and celebrates, clapping his hands, standing up, yelling for the whole room to hear that he finally got me.

The turn card is a 5. Quads over quads.

Mr Super-tilt dropped into his seat with his mouth hanging open. Paused for a few seconds and left without speaking.

That is the only one outer I've ever won. I've lost to one outers over ONE MILLION times, or maybe it only feels like that.

The most memorable lucky hand I have had is when I raised and got call heads up to the flop the villan hit a set of 999, all the cards were under a 9, I was betting all the way to the turn thinking I had the best hand, then pops a T giving me TTT my bigger set over his smaller set, I thought I was beaten and betting like I had AA...LOL

Then I called a huge raise last night with AJ at the turn, I knew the villan wanted me to go away and made a 13.5 BB bet to shoo my off, but I called and hit the low end straight, and I was out of position, I know I was a few names in the book and he was fuming...LOL

I think one of my unluckiest just happened in guys vs gals. I had ace 9 and I called a raise preflop with ace 9. There were 3 of us going to flop which was queen nine nine with 2 diamonds. The preflop raiser who had lots of chips did a continuation bet and the shortstack went all in. I decided to slowplay and just call. The turn came an ace giving me a full house. When the large stack made a big turn bet I went all in and was called--by ace queen. When the river was another ace I knew this was not a good thing.

I also had a similar situation in the game with only a pair of 33 I played in a good tournament and flew out on super cards, I have 33 - flop 33J -- turn J and the player has JJ, but I have many such situations in the game when good and strong combinations do not play

A sequel to this story:

2 days ago I was short stacked 8/9th place at the final table of a tournament with JJ. This guy had 99 and went all in preflop on me. Guy managed to catch a 9 and eliminated me.

Well 10 minutes ago on the first hand this guy went all in on me again. I had 33. I couldn't resist the chance to knock this guy out with a marginal hand again.
I called. He had AQ.
Managed to catch a 3 on the turn. Dude is out again.

This rivalry is just getting more and more interesting. :D

Today I lost with AK twice in a row.
First hand was against a 23 who caught a 2 on the river.
Next was against K3 who made a flush on the river.
then I played a heads up tournament losing with QJ to a 82.

I lost a total of 5$.

This has been an absolute horseshit day for poker

I was short stacked with 72 suited, said what the hell and went all in.
Single caller had AA. I flopped a Flush.

Kinda feel bad for the guy lol...

I had a similar situation the other day. I have lost 8888 to AAAA.
And just a moment ago I have finished a game with AAA88 beaten by 8888.

[ this is not a coincidence - the world is going to end soon ]

Not the luckiest I have ever been but it helped me come 3rd in a MTG. Three players all in pre-flop. AA vs KK vs AdKd.

I caught a flush on the flop. :)

Maybe it's not lackiest hand I've ever had but that was my first thought.
I had AsQs on hand.
Flop turn and river settled down to straight but with Ks Js 10s.
That's it. Royal Flush with Allin, checked.

The first hand I'd ever played for money was at the local casino, 1/3 blinds 200$ max buyin.

I'd been sitting there for about 30 mins, stunned at the seemingly standard $20-25 pre-flop raises.

I guess I got a bit tilty feeling like I was just going to whittle my funds away in the blinds, so I called a $22 bet with 98s hearts.

The flop came out 6h,Td and 5h, There was a big bet (I cant remember how much it was). I called it and hit a 7h on the next card.

I stuffed up after that by pushing all in and getting a insta-fold from one guy and the other guy folding but showing 2 pair.
