Alright, so I am going to visit my brother who lives in Las Vegas. I naturally have to do some form of gambling while I am there; which I only really enjoy NL holdem. :) So I will only be wanting to invest like $80 tops for a buy-in on a game. Anybody have any ideas on where to pick up a game? I am not the best, but I can play. I just wanna play some poker while I am out there. :)

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but I came back from Vegas today and took a look at a few casinos. I saw that Treasure Island has a 1-3NL game that you can buy in for a minimum of $50, max $300. The Bellagio has a 1-2NL game for $100-$200. I didn't get a chance to play in either so I don't know much else. Don't think there'll be any significantly lower stakes available.

yep it sucks

yeah last time i went i went to a hacker conference at the riveria and just sat watching them for the majority of the time. they had a $40-$200 buy-in. im looking for micro stakes, like $0.50/$1 buy-in. iono with me not being a poker veteran i know im not at the same skill level as the veterans; so naturally I dont wanna invest too much.

To my knowledge, the only place you can play those stakes in Vegas is on one of those electronic Poker Pro tables. I think they are at the Flamingo or one of those kinds of places.

Other than that your $80 would last you longer playing $2/$4 Limit HE. Or sit an NL table. Maybe you'll get lucky and double up early.
