im sure professional poker players make a lot more then $7 profit a month.....

most of them play at a lot higher limits so they will make a lot more profits. exactly how much i dont know but $7 profit seems pretty off.

of coursse...i wanted to show breakeven.

like a decent standart living even involves so much work from my findings.

u need to have 10.000 dolars > safe money

play 100 dolar HU games 25 games. win 14 games lose 11 games.1.5 games goes to rake and 1.5 to yourself.

win 150 dolars everyday which is like more than one game up.

maybe i am doing the calculations wrong, is there a poker pro that can help us ?

What the hell are you buying that you absolutely need $3150 a month to live off of being a single guy?

I agree with Mortis? 3k a month for a single guy is insane. Over 100$ a day. Seriously? I don't think that is good money management.

it can be 2.000 on a tight budget i guess.

but still what do think about the 4 percent ROI ?

is it hard to achieve or easy target?

This turned into -> $5 - Redtube plus tissue :D

Seriously though I wouldn't become a pro gambler if you're not making more than a couple times what you are at ordinary work. Being a poker pro seems quite glamorous, but its a lot of hard work after hard work.

And BTW, do you have money set aside for expenses so that you don't have to dig into your BR if you hit a cold streak?

Damn, I cant even imagine $3000 a month spending. I do think some of them do it, but i also think there are a lot of them that play a bit and save more. Especially if youre earning $1M a year, its almost more work to try and spend that than actually save it. Dont get me wrong, Im all about blowing money like Motley Crue, but i want something to show for it when Im in my 30's or 40's.

i dunno if it's harder work to try and spend it than it is to save it, but it's a lot more fun!

Is $1,900 really enough for hookers? If we live on the street, $2,900 can go to hookers :)

Making $4.21 per hand is probably a tad high. Depends on the stakes of course, but I mean, even at $1000nl, that's 21.05bb/100.

But as far as I can tell, you're saying this is 100nl, so....
You'd have to run at 210.5BB/100 to win like that.

That's solid

I see, it's HU Sngs.

Well it looks like the math is off. $100 hu sngs are $100 + $5.

If you play 100 you spent $10,500 on buy-ins.

If you win 57, you made $200 * 57 = $11,400

$11,400 - $10,500 = $900 profit for an ROI of 8.57%

Another way to look at it is as follows:

You won 57 times. Each time you win its a profit of $95. You won the opponent's $100, but paid $5 in rake. So you won $95*57 = $5,415

You lost 43 times. Each loss was $105*43 = -$4515

$5,414 - $4515 = $900
