I really enjoy playing on-line, but there is nothing like playing in a live tourney. Being able to observe the faces and body language of your opponents adds a whole new aspect to the game. To get a good read on your opponents is priceless.
Anyone who has never played live I hope you get your chance soon. It is so much fun!!! I have played several times at Showboat in Atlantic City. Has anyone else played there? It is a well run tourney. Hope to see ya there. LOL:cheers:

I have given up online poker as an avenue of income.

The simple reason is this: Most of the players online are serious about it, making plenty of money with all the right tools, seeing thousands of hands a day.

Live, the only tool is a proper bankroll (which I have) and your skills and reads (and quick math, and memory helps, too).

Also, you can sit in a casino for twelve hours and only see a few hundred hands, which makes for overall weaker players. Face it: They've seen far fewer hands than an online player.

Earlier this month I got my live tournament cherry popped in a 642 person tournament with a $200 buy-in. I took down third for almost $10k. So I consider it a satalite into the 2011 wsop ME. However me and live tournaments aren't finished. As soon as I'm done with Iraq I'll be getting right back into it.
