Hello.
I started playing poker about a year ago. My friend always enthusiastically told interesting stories when and how he managed to win money. I am interested, I have tried and since then I actually play every day. At the moment, I have no profit from the game, but I am working hard to improve my skills.

I prefer online poker then driving to a poker casino
No (player-to-player) arguments when playing online poker as oppose to driving to a casino to play poker. No human error to deal with online poker and much faster...

I have been playing poker for a long time, more than 5 years ago I saw people playing poker and I liked this game and I began to learn the rules of the game and now I play and if I play well in the game, I win a card or in tournaments or cash the game, sometimes my wife is angry with me and shouts that I spend more time on poker and give little to her, but when I get good results and extra profit and buy presents for her, my wife is very happy for me!

I started in the days of dial up. It was with MSN. I was on yahoo at my sisters house they had cards and the blue star. Then I switched to MSN. They also had a cardroom. I found pacific poker and another casino site from there floated around from site to site. In those days there were many casinos but just one poker room. pokerstars was just starting to form. I found Pokerstars on TV through the travel channel. I played on Pokerstars for ten fifteen years. I could play real money on Pokerstars. It was back that far. This was the time when Chris Moneymaker, Dick Breymer, Gus Hanson and Joe Hatchem came into the poker world. Most of my cips were won on Pokerstars. It led to a government subsidy though a shady Poker banking deal. I then met this Indian who got me on ACR and Cardschat. Cardschat got me on other sites like Sportsbetting.ag, intertops.eu and BetOnLine.ag. Been dabbling with real money again. From time to time cashing out. I was playing fullflush when it folded. To many people cashing out without givng the house its rake.

I started playing poker online on orkut, but nothing serious just a joke, later I won a game and started playing world series, only a while after I downloaded pokerstars and started playing real and go to live poker in my city

I started playing poker about 3-4 years ago. I really enjoyed this game and now poker is my favorite hobby. I play not for the sake of money, but for the sake of pleasure from the game. But I hope that with the experience I will be able to receive regular decent profit from the game.

He met poker in 1995, when he studied at academy, and then played mostly in draw poker or Russian five-card poker. Then there was once a career, work, etc.
He later began playing online, hold'em and other types of poker in 2012. Seriously began to treat the game 3 years ago. I hope someday to conquer the poker Olympus, at the moment I am stuck on the micro-limits, constantly losing the poker money won, in the casino on the slot machines. I still hope to win a large amount of money on the slot machines)))

gday all..started young[grade 6 or 7] my dad would come home from work on a friday nite with 2 or 3 friends,if missing somebody i would fill in...learned stud, hi-lo....online when it started...pokerstars since 2006....thanks darrell

I have been playing roughly since the 90's (not holdem - other forms of poker like 5 card and draw poker) but very sporadically until '04 when I started playing online. was a recreational player till 2013 and mostly a fish that didn't know it. Now after a few years of playing and trying to get a handle on studying I am a fish that knows he is a fish.

Hi, i am playing poker for 2-3 years. First year i didnt take it so serious, but then i became to play better and better end started to think about getting money from the poker. In the beggining i was playing freerollers, 1 time a won a ticket for a tournament and won 75$. For me it was good money without even deposit)

I started playing in college several years ago, we did it in free time, then I even missed some classes because I participated in small real money tournaments hahaha, and after I graduated I left for several years, until I tried again to play online and I continue doing it since then in the usual way.

My dad taught me and my step brothers how to play in '06 during the poker boom when I was a junior in high school. Then in late '08, I started playing low stakes cash games on Full Tilt (when it was still legal in the States). I didn't know anything about proper bankroll management (played with full bankroll every time) or advanced poker strat so I kept going broke even after going on good streaks. I stopped in '09 after losing a lot of money doing the same thing.
I played on and off the next few years on Bovada and then stopped after again going broke multiple times due to improper bankroll management.
About six months ago, I randomly decided to research becoming a (semi) pro about and was blown away with information I didn't know. Now I'm reading poker books, contributing here, using Holdem Manager 2 to track and study my game, and plan on investing in some poker training within the next month or two before I start grinding real money again.
I played on and off the next few years on Bovada and then stopped after again going broke multiple times due to improper bankroll management.
