I'd go with Merson too. But Jacobson was very impressive. let's see what he can do in the year ahead

Jacobson is probably the best "tournament specialist" to win it recently. Merson is obviously more of a cash game grinder and a seriously good player, that bluff 3 handed against the young guy w/ Q high was impressive. I really like Heinz as well, was impressed by his play but I am going with Jacobson

I am not sure who the best main event champion over the past decade is, however I think a slight distinction could be made to say that jacobson played the best. I think his play was flawless. He navigated a short stack for most of the night. I don't think I saw him make any mistakes. To play for that amount of money, world championship on the line, it was something special to watch. Once he got off the short stack, he looked liked a lion hunting his prey. For my money, the way he played that night, I think he could beat any of the other champions in an all champions final table.

I think Ryan Riess is the best player to win WSOP Main Event in the last decade.I like the guy's confidence, even before the final table started he said that he is going to be the champion. He read his opponents well and played pretty tight

Martin's victory «M.nosbocaJ» Jacobson became absolutely deserved. Top-reg multi-table tournaments online and offline showed enviable universalism: patiently grind stack 8 blinds, not his hand after losing flips, equally great as playing at a full table, and against two or three opponents ...

Mr. Jacobson's ME win this year sure was fun to watch, of what I saw. Ryan Riess win last year was fun, too. Every year is a little different and hard to really say who would be the best handsdown.
