At the live poker rooms i have played at you better have an ID with your name on it to utilize there jackpot payouts and to cash a large amount of chips. And if you are lucky to have the gift of youth you need to show age lol.

Sure you would have to show the casino ID, but you aren't announcing to the table who you are and wearing a name tag. That is what I was referring too because that is how I understood your "real name" idea would apply to online poker.
