How much

When I play online I try to make a bigger initial deposit to take advantage of the bonuses, then after that, I usually deposit 2-3 times the minimum deposit at a time. I guess it's all about how much you're willing to risk.

I've been playing poker since the early 1980s live. I played online early in the 2000s. But now I feel that online poker is rigged. I've never seen the action that happens online and the losing hand somehow always win n it's the the guy that doesn't know what he doing calling all in with guy shots n getting there calling all ins with bottom pair n happens to get trips on river. I've had monsters flops just to get river to someone with 2 outer. I wouldn't say anything if it only happened the 9% or 18% of the time that it should but it happens like 75% of the time. Like I said been playing poker for o we 40 yrs and the shit I've seen these past 2 months are unreal. And it's always to a player that doesn't know what there doing. I think they can see what's coming and your hole cards. Believe what I say online is total bullshit.

Umm sir I have to admit but you sound like Phil Hellmuth being entitled that you should win all the time because you have good hands. Variance in poker is inevitable and nobody is bulletproof to it. Not you, me, the pros, or anybody on this site. Trust me it hurts and it sucks to lose to a runner runner or a heart stabbing dagger on the river but that's part of the game. Also look at it like this the reason why you might lose to somebody for an example let's say you have KK and your opponent hits a boat with 29o that person that played that 29 might have a special luck or connection to those 2 numbers. It could've been his sports jersey number, last digits to his birthday, or SSN, or his wife's phone number. Everybody has there own silly number of cards that means something to them that they have good luck with they play with to beat stronger hands.

The funny thing about the game of poker is that you can win with any hand but also lose with any hand. Just because you get top pair or top faces doesn't mean you're going to win. But getting crappy hands like 27o doesn't mean you're going to lose either. Sometimes the worst hands in poker that people wouldn't dare bet the house on be the ones that help you win! It happens don't let variance put you down it's part of the game just weather that storm it can't rain forever. :)

I invest what I can manage in poker

Now that I know poker is a highly variance game with up and down swings I contribute what I can.

I started with $ 20 first, but as a player most of the new players lost them, and started playing the freerolls.

How much do invest in poker?

By my accounting, my only investment in poker is my time which I could quantify but it seems unnecessary since the only other thing that competes for my time is my investing activities (research, trade setups, etc.). I have built my entire bankroll from freerolls and it's an extremely difficult way to build a bankroll but when I do play in bigger tournaments, it's like playing with house money. I usually take my profits from online poker in crypto currencies and I withdraw as soon as I reach the minimum requirement. That's why I have to grind the freerolls so hard. 2021 was fairly profitable but I only started playing during the second quarter of the year. I expect 2022 to be even more profitable and if I perform well in the Venom on ACR coming up in January, I plan to play much less online poker. Maybe just the big events and dial down on the daily grind.

I'm still learning how to play poker so that it becomes financially beneficial. Until then I'm mainly playing freerolls to build up my bankroll and experience.

I don1t invest at all. I think it's easy to lose money on poker and I'd rather not risk with my own money. I do play paid tournaments, but with cashes from freerolls
