How many hours do you usually play?

in cash games and spin & go, we can determine how much we want to play, but in tournaments it is impossible to do this.there are tournaments that are held for 8-10 hours and it is impossible to predict the tournament situation.

On average, I play 10-12 hours a day, if there are good passes in tournaments I can sit out more. There was a time that I could play for days, it didn't bother me. Of course, now it is very tiring, but what to do. On the other hand, the clock flies very quickly, from break to break. You can't play without food, I think
from this, my hands begin to shake and my head does not work so well. Light snacks are essential during long sessions. And so sweet tea or a cup of coffee helps to satisfy hunger, but for a while.

I am surprised most people here don't play a lot more. When I first started I played more.
Now I play a couple tourneys after work, usually one big tourney and an SNG.
I am off work for a bit now, I wake up and look at what I want to play, then I end up playing at least 10 hours.

Sometimes I run myself into the dirt playing 20 to 26 hours in a row and it gets exhausting especially playing at the tables. I’m just curious how many hours you all play before you get tired, I was always told you can never tell the time at the casino and it’s definitely true. I stay at the tables for hours and I just forget what time of day it is, sometimes without eating. That’s the good thing about card rooms they serve you food even during the pandemic.

I manage a club so sometimes I am forced to play longer than I would like. But when I play in other clubs or on other sites, I do not like to play for more than an hour or so unless I'm playing tournaments or multi-tabling. It's just too easy to go on tilt. I read a lot of poker books and listen to podcasts and audio books. There are a lot of pros who say no more than an hour and some of them say, decide how long you want to play for and then leave after the time is up. When I do this I can have a focus session where I only play in the BTN and CO or I only play hands I can 3 bet. This way I get to practice one element of my game without worrying about the outcome. I used to think this was a stupid idea but I really like it now. I don't lose nearly as much and I get really good experience.
