I have no problem with time; There is only one rule. Poker should not interfere with communication with my friends and relatives !!!

I try to get the things I need done early in the day that way around dinner time I can have a poker session at the best time imo for Americans to play. Wether it is cash or MTTs, I try and always get at least 1 session in during peak time a day.

Just gotta work on not procrastinating and using your time wisely !

Just curious to know how other aspiring poker players find a balance.

In my case, I work a 9-5 job which take up a third of my day. I also sleep for 8 hours so that's another third. And with my free time I also get things done. But I try to dedicate atleast 2 hours a day to my game. I started with a $100 dollar deposit, which is within my financial capabilities. And it's a good starting point for 2 hours a day. It's more about gaining experience and teaching myself to adapt to situations at the table.
I believe that without balance you will be unable to focus on the big picture.

You don't want to just play, if you have 2 hours a day I would say you need to alternate 2 hours studying 1 day, 2 hours playing another or 1 hour study and 1 hour playing everyday. You could possibly do a 30 minute warmup where you which a YT video or 2, play for an hour and mark any interesting hands you may have played and spend 30 minutes reviewing those hands. This will rapidly increase the learning curve.

If you want to dedicate yourself to poker, you have to start prioritizing things in a way that devotes maximum time to poker. In situations where we have many responsibilities (work, family, business) the balance is essential to attend to all, but in the long term, if we want to professionalize poker we must make the decisions that allow us to dedicate as much time as possible to achieve the desired results. It's a matter of knowing what we want and where we want to go.

Hello.
Usually, I also play 2-3 hours a day. Sometimes there are weeks when I have absolutely no time to play and I take a break. The balance is really difficult to find. But for me this is a hobby and I just try to have fun when I have free time.

When I have time and when I feel like it, I play poker. During the week I play in the evening 1 tournament. Sometimes I am out quickly, sometimes I stay in long, but I know more or less how much the tourney takes. In the weekends sometimes I have some other things planned and then I do those things. I never put poker first. It is justa hobby for me.

If I have free time when nothing comes up, I usually play poker. Or if a really waited tournament will be, I try to organize the events not to crash my beloved hobby.

Try to play after work if I have nothing to do that day. Usually I try to play 1 or 2 tournaments per day. I like to try to keep my skills sharp so I don't get rusty just in case I get a chance to play live at my local casino

I am retired so not that difficult, play when I want or when friends call. We swim BBQ by the pool then poker. Played a last minute game last night because a friend was going back to france. Ended up ahead by $200, had a good night.

I don't adjust to the game of poker, I play in my free time and this is quite enough for me, it's usually 2-4 hours a day

You need to start from the bottom .. a chance will always be given, do not hesitate. And if you work on yourself and your game, you will be rewarded. Patience and a little effort

I think it depends on what you want to achieve. If you are happy with your current situation and be just a recreational poker player you can incorporate 2-3 hours every 2 or 3 days to play some poker but if you want to become a pro then you must study and also play on a daily basis. create your schedule accordingly on how it bests suits you and make small adjustments based on what you feel it needs to be changed.
