We are talking about a poker player - Stuart Errol Ungar. Throughout his career, he win about $3.6 million and he has 5 wsop bracelets. A little. It cannot be put even in the first hundred players. If a compare with Phil Hellmuth, he has 3 times more bracelets. However, Stew Ungar is the only poker player in history who has managed to win the WSOP 3 times. He was champion in 1980, 1981 and 1997. This player has been inscribed in the Poker Hall of Fame.

First card game what Stew was good at was called Gin Rummy. However, once Stew started playing poker, he managed to beat Doyle Brunson in the main World Series and get $365,000. Not bad, very not bad. The victory of the poker player was attributed simply to luck, and later he again declared himself. He wins the WSOP and takes home $375,000.

The most interesting thing is that Stew Ungar played aggressively. I know this style of play has not been practiced before, but has become popular in our days.
Money had a bad effect on the player. He began to abuse alcohol sports betting, spending his winnings in all directions.

In 1990, Stu again participates in the world series of poker. He managed to fill so many chips that he spent the 3rd day of the tournament in a seated position and still finished in ninth place. He just couldn't play. He was found unconscious in a hotel. That didn't stop him from adding $25,050 to his bankroll.

Later, drugs played a cruel joke on him. The player is very dependent on them. In '97 Billy Baxter decided to help and paid Stew Ungar a $10,000 entry fee so he could play at the WSOP. 312 players took part in the tournament. Stew Ungar didn't feel very well, he even fell asleep during the game. But he still won the WSOP for the third time and wrote his name into history.

Do you think this poker player was lucky, or was he really talented?
