I watch HSP the most and enjoy it very much. My favorite one is when Kaplan trades spots with Daniel !!! Kaplan acually did pretty good too!!

I think it gets him a lot of publicity either way, although it might have been as a huge donkey if Ivey had called and won. It'll probably earn him more money in cash games in the future when he has a set and people know he's capable of a big bluff. Just in the context of that hand I think it's -EV though.

Ivey plays the highest stake ring games all the time. He plays on Full Tilt also a few times a week. He will play almost any game to, Omaha HI, Hi Lo, Hold Em and HORSE.

it is fun to watch for real money each hand, but the production value of the show is just terrible. It just looks cheap and corny. It's fascinating to me how one poker program (ESPN) can be so much more exciting than another (High Stakes Poker) through simple style of editing.

Comparing High Stakes Poker on GSN to any poker on ESPN is like comparing sex with a new girlfriend to the random clips of porn I have on my D drive. If you want poker in all its nuances, all its highs and lows, all its slow parts and fast parts, go to GSN. If you want hasty moneyshots followed by people crying, go to ESPN. How's that for an analogy off the top of my head?
