If it was a cash game you can really take advantage of situation. Your opponent usually goes into maniac mode thinking they can walk on water. So you just play tight aggressive and take their money.

I went out of the APAT Scottish Open Amatuer last year with AA v 24. I was in small blind and everyone folded to me. I raised 3BB which was 1200 at that time and BB puts me all in. Obviously I am calling and he shows 24. Flop comes out 24 something I cannot remember and then a 4 hits on the River to rub it in. We were pretty even in chips him a few hundred more. I counted to 10 got up and walked away.
I tend to say very little after bad beats and I just keep telling myself that I want to be in the same situation with the same cards and the same guy a few more times because I know if I am am I am going to walk away winning in the long run.

O boy. Bad beats happen. The chance of (as it was mentioned) of AA losing to 24o is about 14%. So, yes, 14% of the time you will lose. Look at them like this.

If you get your chips in as a 70/30 favorite you will win 70% of the time. You got them in good, and over time it will be massively +EV.

Thats why you need to look at every single bet as either +EV or -EV.......

Ohh and to the mug who likes to berate people calling badly, newsflash, they are the people you make money off. Berating them will only make them either learn and get better, or stop playing. Do you really want the people who it's simple to beat to learn or stop playing????????

It's definitely good to take a break after losing badly, you don't want to go on tilt!

I think its funny when people get bent out of shape over a bad beat. Its just part of poker its going to happen to everyone.

Just got knocked out of a tournament by someone hitting a one out. Makes me want to not play for a while. But I will be back again and I will win again. I just want to hit a one out to knock someone else out. So then I will be even. Hope I never have to be in the position of hoping for a one out, but if I am and I hit it then the bad beat I just took will be someone else's bad beat instead of mine. Maybe even the guy who just knocked me out. Now there is something to smile about.

Its good to have a person who will listen to ur story. Even though no one cares, its nice to be able to get it out, and have that understanding female that will console you rather than say "you idiot, that was our christmas money, you need to quit tha gambling its a problem.

None of them ever have problems cashing the payout checks, The chicks that listen to your bad beat whines... keep them around, theyre a financial asset.

Oh, I handle online bad beats by telling the person how bad they are. Live as well. I used to not want to start drama live, but I don't care any more. so many donks in poker these days, and some need to be str8 up punched in the face. My favorite line live is "You are bad, you suck so bad". If they wanna talk crap back or fight im all for it. lol

A few weeks ago youd of had a great day. These 2 palyers get in a hand and Player B beats player A with a weak hand. Appox 30 minutes later, the same two get in a hand and Player A tells Player B I dont think youll get lucky twice and shoves over him which Player A calls and GETS LUCKY AGAIN 75 beat AQ

Player B then says how can you call that youre the worst player in the world and on and on and on, finally Player A says if one more word comes out of your mouth IM gonna stand up and bust u in the ****ing mouth

DEALER WHOA WHOA LET IT GO SOMEONE HAS TO LET IT GO

Make sure you aren't playing higher than your bankroll dictates. Smaller bad beat losses, smaller chance of anger.
