Rounders is a given.
Runner Runner is ok although it is discouraging to the online community. My favorite poker movie is probably
The Grand. Quite the humorous take on poker. If you have a decent sense of humor it's right up your alley. Hosts an all-star cast (Woody Harrelson, Ray Romano, David Cross, Cheryl Hines to name some) along w/poker pros like Doyle, Helmuth, Phil Laak, and more. It highlights the poker-boom scene w/a jab at the
online poker community which is represented by actors Chris Parnell and Richard Kind who locks in his seat to an exclusive poker tournament (named after the movies' title) w/a win from an online satellite, reminiscent of Chris Moneymaker's run. If you find any strategic idioms in this flick then you're focusing too hard in between the laughs. If you decide to check it out please take it for what it's worth which is pure entertainment. Enjoy! :hello:
