i play online for fun and live for money, mostly because i am not yet sure how honest the US options are personally i do not feel they are. The up side of live is when you are out your out. No going to the lobby and jump in another because you donked off trying to sukout on someone. Makes the mtt play more realistic

You might wish to expand on that because it is certainly LOL How you could suggest online is easier considering 100NL live compares to 5NL online.

It has aspects such as availability(for volume and grinding, always games running etc), <$ to get started, and the comfort of your own home etc that could be considered aspects of easier to get started but in consideration of equal levels 100NL live vs 100NL online, live would be way easier. Just a thought, you could have been joking but doesn't seem to be the case lol.

I like both. I play live in a poker league and also the cheaper tournaments in casinos when possible. Winstar does a $60 on Mon and Weds that can be fun.

What I like about online tourneys is the potentially large prizes relative to the buyins, and freerolls of course.

If live could multi tabling and cards are dealt faster.
would be ...prefer to play live.
but....
I do feel uncomfortable play without HUD .....and without multi tabling [during live, if card dead, i would not know how to solve that]

I would prefer to play live. Unfortunately I live in a primitive police state where homegames get raided by SWAT.

I used to play a lot of online, but i switched to mostly live games in AC. It seems to be working exponentially better for me. Theres just too much BS with online, such as colluding, chip dumping, etc, and i dont trust online rooms so much anymore. getting paid out can be a harrowing process, etc.

I play live at a casino as much as time allows. The experience at reading a table, not playing with a four color deck, coping with the personalities all are good training for the other parts of my life.

I have always preferred playing live.

The players are really bad. You can look at people during the hands. You can talk to people. If you win, a short walk to the cage and you have money in your hand (unlike online). It is also really cool having real cards and chips.

However, online micro stake games are a cheap way to practice. You can get a bunch of experience quickly playing online.

Online just isn't the same though as live. It doesn't even seem like real poker to me.

Big difference between the both. I play much online, but try to qualify for live events all the time. Besides the difference in playing, it is just great to be in that atmosphere when playing a live event!

There are times where I prefer playing live than online.

But my live games are mostly house games. Could be because it's just a lot easier reading a person physically than having to figure them out online and from behind a monitor.

I play live once a week with my friends, and once a month at a professional club with people i dont know. It helps me very much to read people easly at the table, so i can get on top of them and make them lose their confidence. In On-line poker is different u cand only make them lose their pacience and confidence in chat box, or change u`r betting size always.
