Well,
We all knew it had to end somewhere. After conservatively building my $80 to $120, I decided to take a BIG chance.
:withstupi
I sat down at a $2/$5 NL Holdem table with my measly $100 min buyin, and proceded to play fairly well for over an hour. At my peak I had $140 at the table, but that all came crashing down when (in the big blind) I was dealt 7-2 off. I of course was allowed to see the flop J-7-2 with 2 diamonds. Yay I thought, here is my chance to score. So with $30 in the pot, I make a $30 bet. One caller.
Turn is a 4 of diamonds to fill the flush. I check, so does he. The last card is a black King. I check, he pushes all in, and I like the idiot I am CALL.
Him = Flush
Me = Two Pair
Now, you'd think a pot sized bet after the flop would have pushed him out, but I guess not. AND NOW I"M BROKE AT THAT SITE.
Sigh.
