It is sad to say but I`ve never played live poker. A couple years ago in my country government decided to impose a ban on gambling industry. So I try to qualify via satellites on live events in other countries. Hope soon I will be so happy to play live poker and feel its atmosphere.
I love live poker! Home games played as single table tournaments with friends. Just don’t get to play as often as I’d like to. Family commitments and such.
Yup, being in south Florida I am lucky to be near a ton of great live action. I play online to improve, I play live to make money. Live PLO is one of the best money makers in poker right now in my opinion.

I unfortunately can not compare. I play only online. Live poker I only play with friends. But we never play for money. But of course it's much more interesting to play live. You see the emotions of your opponents. And each time you try to guess which cards they have on hand based on their behavior.
I play live once a week. I need to limit my self I play tournament 10players, 2 rebuys it's like 30players top 2 only wins the money, they count chips after 3 hands. It's much more interesting playing live. I like to compare those two as cinemas and theaters. Theater (live poker) is much better feeling.
Live home games are my favorite to play. I've played at various casinos and while it is fun it also gives me major anxiety! That said sometimes you can hit it big at some tables. I prefer online for my LAG style as of late.
Basically I play poker on the Internet, sometimes with friends we will play live, and it's much better than playing online. Online is not so easy to determine the game of the enemy, all play on your own, but in a live game you need to look for the enemy's behavior. In my opinion, live game is easier and much more interesting.
i've played online for about 6 years now and only just started playing live at my local casino as well the one thing i will always say is although i prefer the live experience i'm bad at remembering to put in my blinds and antes sometimes because i'm used to the computer doing it for me. also live you get about 30-35 hands per hour compared to 100+ online which means that you cannot just play aggressively and play for folds sometimes you have to be sure you have the best hand and try to extract as many chips from that hand as possible because you get less hands per hour
I wish I could have the experience of entering a live tournament here, there is none of those poker culture is little here, the most I have played is with my friends and virtual
yes I actually prefer to play live , the casinos are about a 4 hour drive and 6.5 hour drive for a good casino. so really don't have the opportunity 😔 .
So most of the time online is just more convenient
I have been playing more in live tournaments than online since the start of the new year, mainly because I have other commitments to deal with and I can't justify grinding online hours on end when I have more important stuff to do, and live games give you the opportunity to get out from in front of the screen.
I like playing online just as much as live, but they are definitely different games. A lot more energy and focus goes on paying attention to your opponents behavior, number crunching has to take place in your head rather than automatically in your HUD or on charts, and you've got to do everything while keeping your poker face and not giving anything away.
I have never played live, but I've been playing online poker casually since 2009. and I would really try to play live. And if I do that, will I have to bring my mouse with me or will I be provided with one there?
I play both, and live games tend to be a lot softer than on-line. Playing on-line is a good deal easier, and you get to see so many more hands. Live games tend to fill up with casual players who don't bother studying away from the tables.
Today friends came to visit and we played two mini-tournaments with them))) One in super-turbo mode, the second with the increase of blinds every 10 minutes. All of them had only positive emotions! Once again I was convinced that two flushes and quads of jacks on one board are real)))) And the RNG did not take part in this I make a photo...
I've been playing live poker, I can tell you this: how many play on the Internet is not suitable for playing live. I've seen a lot of players who come from the Internet to play live. You will be funny but they were shaking hands, and on the internet, they give advice on how to play the rest. LOL. Live game is a completely different and much more interesting than the Internet.
