I take notes on the site and keep notes using PT4 when applicable, as well. I believe this is highly +EV and absolutely necessary.

Definately, notes and colored labels are a must.......all are saved on the sites though because I don't use third party Apps...

My tip would be to add a date to each note as people do change over time so it's good to see how recent they are etc. Also I add game type :)

I generally multitable 24 tables so note taking isn't easy to do. However, I own notecaddy which does the note taking for me. This is useful for when I review. There is also a feature in notecaddy that allows you to update the colour rings around the player names in pokerstars. You can run this automatically from notecaddy which helps you catagorise players by their stats. I feel quite blind when I'm playing away from my own computer sometimes. Although, when I go away I take a copy of the pokerstars notes.xml file with me so it's still useful to me.

I used to label the donk and the weak one by color in cash games.

I use poker holdem notes, from appstore. Easy to use, and I can use it in live poker. [emoji3]

Notes are very convenient, in most popular poker rooms this function is available and it's great

I use notes extensively. I rely on them so much I've stopped playing at sites that have poor a note feature. That goes along with a good hand history feature. I also color code so know at a glance what kind of player I'm facing without having to read their notes. To get a line on users who are mixing up their game, I use criteria. For example, I don't flag a user as a calling station unless over time they've met my criteria for a calling station like called bets in 3 hands when they shouldn't have.

I use abbreviated notes and usually can use the window provided. I dont think I would ever use a separate notebook but thats just me

I do not take written notes when playing poker. I would only take notes online using the notes tab but do not do that often anyways.

I don't do. But we should start to take notes. Can be useful at any time at the table.

of course, but when you play for a long time with the same players, you remember everything in your head

Since i mostly play only in PokerStars, I stick to color labels to remember bluffers, aggressive players etc. Useful when playing multitable to just look at color. :)

I'll take mental notes during game with regards to what decisions players make; do they limp, bluff, back down from aggression etc but never any physical notes.

I think it would be too much of a distraction.

I think notes are VERY important, especially online. There's no way to remember the playing style of hundreds of people. In addition, I color code players so at a glance I can tell if a table I'm thinking of joining has calling stations, fish, rocks or uber-calling stations.

Something like, from which positions attack or when they play all their cards with which cards you do and things like that
