do poker sites have their own bots?

Hi guys

I just wonder this, as sometimes some of the calls I get just seem amazing. I lose to three outers, two outers more than I do 12 outers?

It also seems to me, if I'm in a tournie and it is getting down to say 107 left, top 100 make money, then the game seems to screw you over just to get it down to 100 faster?

I've seen this time and time again.

I've also seen, today has been a good example, a donkey has or possibly site bot has got a big chipstack, everytime he goes up and calls and all in against a smaller stack he wins cosistently.

I found myself in some tournies today, guy raises 180 in 1st position, I think if I reraise by doubling or trebbling he will still call, so stupidly I go all in for 3000 with AQ suited, he calls with KQ os, he gets the K and wins.

Tournie, straight after that, exactly the same ppositions on the table, he raises same bet (different person) 180, I am fed up by this point from game above, I push all in 3000 with AK, he calls, KQ Q straight away.

I know that was over playing the hands, but they wont fold or stop calling, so if I think I'm ahead I might as well try and get their chips if they still call, silly me.

Next game I cool myself down guy raises, 300, I call with JJ, flpp goes J99, I check, he bets pots, I reraise all in he calls, he has 88, turn goes 8, river goes 8? Is this a joke?

I go onto a normal $22, I raise with AA, I get a caller, flop goes A22, he bets, I just call, turn card is 7, he bets, I reraise all in, he calls, he has A2, river drops 2.

I go on a tournie qualifier, i admit I am Peed Off, I see one guy just going all in every hand with Q2 os etc, so the next time he does it I call him with KJ suited to harts, he has J6 of suit, he wins! I rebuy, he's still doing same old play, he gets someone else out, comes to me and him again I have 6K chips, he goes all in for about 15 I think, I have KK, he has 9,3 flop goes 9,3 straight away, I quit.

Other games were not rebuys by the way.

It never used to be like this, there seems to be more people pushing all in with anything now than say a few years back.

I did a record, of big hands and how they held up when heads up all in, this was my statistics for all ins pre flop, about 6 months back I did this.

KK lost for me 17 times out of 20 usualy against ace rags.
AA lost for me 12 times out of 17.
QQ lost for me 26 times out of 28, usualy against ace rags or AK.
AK won for me 19 times out of 26.

Now if I'm low stacked against a big stack on party, I usually know I'm gonna get rivered to a 2 or 3 outer because it has become so frequent now. I know it's not just happening to me, but I honestly think the poker sites have their own bots which they use to make extra monies for themselves.

My friend says why would they do that, they don't, but I think they do, why does an arcade have fruit machines, to make money, yeah someone gets a jackpot every so often.

There are so many sites that keep track of winnings and losses for players, if we have access to this then obviously so do poker sites, and they don't want the same people winning all the time otherwise the bad players will just go away eventually.

Also I have noticed when ever I have a nice wedge of dosh, and then I cash some out, all of a sudden I get robbed even worse than before, it's like a punishment for taking funds out of the kitty.

I like playing poker, am gonna miss it, but I can't stand seeing a game that is meant to have some skill, be brought down to bingo player city which is what party poker has become.

Sorry for rant, but am sick of it, every hand two players are fighting it out and always one of them has the nuts, whether it flush, straight, FH someone always has the top hand possible.

thanks for listening, sorry again, have good xmas new year

K xx

wow you had a very bad run and sucked out on really bad the answer to your question is YES sites do have poker bots easy way to figure out the ID of them is look at the tourneys that may not start for hours and one person is registered like on Absloute Poker all the micro tourneys thats under $3 buy in will have svenolden in every single one higher stakes its a diff name bot in all of them. Far as how there programed im not sure some blind out and some play. There is even programs you can download and make your own poker bots and put them in poker rooms. When i get sitted at tables with players who hit everytime i dont even bother calling if hes cracking your full house aces full of 2s with quad 2s and you lost 27 times with the best 2 starting hands in poker i think i would take a break from the game for the rest of the day my bestfriend always says if your getting 2nd best cards from the start you will get them all day long and that ive learned to be so true Good luck and watch out for them players

Yes, people have bots and use them on sites, but I do not think the sites themselves have them.
Bots generally suck at poker anyway.

guys, relax, sites don't use boots, and whoever uses a bot for poker, well, if i could play 24/7 against boots i'd be rich really soon, because boots can not play poker. you can learn him moves, but he will do that move every single time, he will never bluff or bluff all the times, making it really easy to read. boots can't win vs a poker player with 3 brain cells in his head.

if you work hard on a bot you could maybe make him win 2nl, but thats it.

How would this ^ be evidence insinuating that they're a bot? I mean don't a TON of mtt regs. pre-reg. for many mtts throughout the day? Your statement here would suggest that ALL of the mtt regs. who play online & who multi-table are bots (or at least the ones who pre-reg. for 20-40mtt's throughout the day). What's even weirder... every one of these 'bots' (the pre-reg'rs.) who I've ever checked out also have accounts on poker forums... & they even post random stuff too??? Would this just be an employee of the pokersite who pretends to have online friends & uses some random posts for the forums? It's a conspiracy I say!!! Poker should be like 'chess'... if you get it in way ahead you should always win!!!

The best way to look them up is ptr, and there are the ones that play 24 hours a day for days on end. That is impossible for anyone to do.

poker bot on pokerstars

today i was playing a pokerstars pro on 3 low limit tables. I noticed somthing in the way he bet i had 99 in position vs pppro flop was 289. he had pp 88
i had him set over set but its not the sitituation it was the way he bet out. He bet out 7 times bb on flop and 7 times bb on turn. The bet he made he would of had to use the slider bar or type it in to make the bet the bet was out in like .25 of a second on the flop and the turn. This is immpossible humanly especially when the guy was playing 24 tables at a time. I think hes really using a bot he prob thinks no 1 would notice at the low levels . i said somthing about the bet at the table and another guy said somthing also that was sitting. I have noticed this speedy fast unhuman bet 1 time before in a tournment. I think this is the way to know if its a bot watch out for instant unhuman bets.

is it legal for poker sites to use bots? ive been suspicious of carbon inserting bots into their guarantee tounaments. these tournies use to have no late registration. i would only enter them when the amount paid by players to enter was significantly less than the prize pool. however, since the late registration started, there always seems to be an enormous amount of late entries. the buyin is always a bargian compared to prize pool minutes before tourny starts, but then 10 minutes in...not so much at all.

How would this lead one to believe that the late reg'rs. are 'bots'? And how is this any different from all of the other sites that have late reg. for their tournaments? (I don't get it?)

the reason i suggest that is only in regards to a "guarantee" tourney. lets say the buy in for a $1,000 guarantee is $1. there is less than 1 minute b4 registration closes and there are 800 entrants so far....pretty good bargain, its like $200 added. registration closes and 250 enter on late registrtion...now there is no added money. this just seems suspicious that such a high amount would enter on late registration. is it not possible the site was trying to induce peolpe to register for the bargain, and then added bots?

The suit against FT was dismissed. http://www.pokernewsdaily.com/full-tilt-poker-bans-bot-users-16324/ Not the main topic of that article but it's in there. The main topic is about FT not being OK with bots. I think many players got some money from the confiscated funds. I got a little.

I don't worry about bots actually.

This is very typical of all sites that have decent player traffic that offer up guar. tourneys. Guar. is pretty much ALWAYS exceeded during late reg. And to suggest that 250 players joinging onto 800.. where 1,000 players meets the guar. might insinuate pokersite bots.... that's a pretty far-fetched assumption actually. Check out some sites.. where the # of entrants will actually 'double' during late reg.

Bots generally suck at poker anyway.

The more I learn about sngs the more there seems to be only one right play in many situations. I wonder if a bot could play these very successfully, I don't think they play very well in cash or tournament from what I've heard though.
