Do any of you play Chinese poker?

Back when I used to work in the casino, we would play Chinese poker almost everyday on break. We would play a couple different varieties, and had a lot of fun playing!

I'd say the game is mostly luck (assuming you are playing against a halfway competent person).

You Just amaze me Jordan, Hunter, accountant, and dealer? What more do You hold on your sleeves?
Chinese Poker is a hit with dealers I guess. Where I play here in brazil, dealers are all over the place playing it.

this is the first time I've heard about Chinese poker and I don't even think about playing it. I'm used to playing standard poker too much and I love it and I don't think about moving to other games

Its something you play with friends on a gambling and drinks night...because it requires a pen and paper.

First to however many Pts agreed to, and how much each individual wagers. We play a similar game.

The hands must be made in order of hierarchy....so your first hand may be great but you might give 2 pts away on the other hands.

I was a dealer and tournament director for about 7 years, and can confidently say that poker dealers love to gamble!

One example was the work Christmas party cash game, a $1/$2 game that often had multiple players with $2K+ stacks by the end of the night. Blind allins with $100 or $200 were common! It was simply nuts (and amazing!). The one year I won $750 in the first 20 minutes!

One more unexpected 7 years huh? saying "Shuffle Up and Deal, there will be 15 minutes levels..." wow, I wonder You ever saw the dealer folding the player, when playing the hand, on the showdown where's my cards? On the cash depends on the players agreeing, on the tournament is too hard.
One tournament director doesn't make more dough than one accountant?
I wish I could play more Chinese poker, and learn more about that fantasy thing.

I accidentally mucked players hands before. As a dealer it's the one mistake you really try not to make.

Dealer/TD salary was good, but the hours and lifestyle became draining.

Also, I wanted career options not limited to places that had casinos.

I've played a lot! Mainly on PPPoker. It's very popular on the poker Apps actually. Few different variants also.

If two players are similarly matched it just ends up being -EV for both because of the rake. Game selectection more important than most other games.

I have never tried Chinese poker either! Those poker rooms don't have this kind of game

Some rooms have long provided poker players with the opportunity to play "Pineapple" (as this type of poker is also called) online - both at cash tables and in the format of MTT tournaments. OFC events can be found in the tournament schedule of major series and, unlike Hold'em, they do not yet gather huge kilofields. And this attracts new players. But the main reason why Chinese poker is so interesting to players from all over the world is that no one has yet counted this game. Any poker player can be a pioneer and come up with some working strategy in this discipline. I sometimes play Chinese poker.
