I'm dying to get to 25nl. Feel free to leave words of encouragement like "25nl is cake". It would help. :)

25nl is actually way harder than 10nl, but it shouldn't be a problem for you, imo.

If you crushed 10nl that bad 25nl isn't too big of a step up. Biggest advice when moving up is don't over-adjust. Just start playing like you would 10nl (with bigger bets) and slowly adjust as you see things.

Just finished my second session with Alan, I'm thoroughly convinced we'll have a long-term coaching thing and he'll carry me easily through the midstakes. It's sick when you can pinpoint the leaks of all the more common and tougher regs, and find out how to exploit them all, all within half an hour.

I'm where he is, but at half the hands, and half the profits :D
Should probably plug some more hands at 10nl before I try 25nl, even though I am rolled if I stick to 10 buy in rule. Thinking I might wait till at least 15-20 to try it. Also I'm moving from Everest to party tomorrow most like.

Need to put in about a 1-2 hour session to get the last 70SummitPoints and finish my 2nd bonus off. Then I'll have 10 BIs for 25nl. And another 7 on Stars.

My graph is much more swingier tho. And I've been making a huge comeback in the last 15k hands. So I'm liking how I play atm. Will see how I go at Party 10nl and decide after I get like 15 BIs.

All this is actually mostly at 5nl with a little 10nl mixed in.

So, I'm jumping back into pokers. Except, I won't be able to deposit for a while, so I'll just be doing play money SNGs and MTTs on Stars and Tilt for now.

Whee!

...How lame would it be if my first MTT win is in a play money tournament? I'd least I'd get it out of the way, though.

2nl-Off to a good start.

1st hand almost went busto, but my hand reads/analysis of situation was spot on and I saved some money. No reads on table.

pokerstars Game #22840049102: Hold'em No Limit ($0.01/$0.02) - 2008/12/12 0:27:11 ET
Table 'Bootes III' 9-max Seat #2 is the button
Seat 2: VinZ44 ($0.97 in chips)
Seat 3: cjf2008 ($3.47 in chips)
Seat 4: TRM_SHRiMP ($2 in chips)
Seat 5: lanbar11 ($5.49 in chips)
Seat 6: Zeuses Wild ($2.12 in chips)
Seat 7: Zveinieks ($1.85 in chips)
Seat 8: Glimmer99 ($3.16 in chips)
Seat 9: RIAMBSC ($6.95 in chips)
cjf2008: posts small blind $0.01
TRM_SHRiMP: posts big blind $0.02
*** HOLE CARDS ***

lanbar11: folds
Zeuses Wild: folds
Zveinieks: calls $0.02

Zveinieks: calls $0.08
RIAMBSC: raises $0.08 to $0.16
cjf2008: folds
TRM_SHRiMP: calls $0.08
...I just call with my bottom 2 pair. I beat out quite a few hands, but I lose to limp-worthy hands like 33, 88, or even AA, as well as hands as A8, A4, and A3. At best I can hope he is on a draw, is holding Ax, or maybe something like 77+ or in between pair. Can easily be ahead or easily be behind, so I opt to call and re-evaluate river.
Zveinieks: folds
*** RIVER *** [As 3h 8c 4h] [4c]
TRM_SHRiMP: bets $0.32
...river filled me up, which may or may not be a good thing. If he was on the draw, I'm probably not getting a call by him.
RIAMBSC: raises $0.32 to $0.64
TRM_SHRiMP: calls $0.32
...He min-raised the river 4 just like he did the turn, so I'm pretty sure it helped him. I don't see him min-bet bluffing a busted draw. I can only hope his is min raising with trip 4s, threes full, or two pair with A or 8 up. I do lose to 88, AA, A4, and 84-though I don't see 84 limping here. I'm definitely not folding boat here, but I think raising is pointless and I'm not getting any value since losing hands are probably folding and Im only getting called/raised by something better.
*** SHOW DOWN ***
RIAMBSC: shows [Ah Ad] (a full house, Aces full of Fours)
TRM_SHRiMP: mucks hand
RIAMBSC collected $1.71 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $1.76 | Rake $0.05
Board [As 3h 8c 4h 4c]
Seat 2: VinZ44 (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 3: cjf2008 (small blind) folded on the Turn
Seat 4: TRM_SHRiMP (big blind) mucked [4s 3s]
Seat 5: lanbar11 folded before Flop (didn't bet)

Not bad when he pinpoints your own leaks either. Alan's the nuts.

Don't say that! What's so hard about it, dude? :p

I didn't say it was hard. i actually find it ridiculously soft now that i've moved up. but it's harder than 10nl for sure.
