The more I play the more I realize that confidence has a large part to do with the overall game. Someone makes a good call, good bet, plays a good hand and their game boosts almost immediately because of it.

For me there's nothing worse than being in the opposite territory, where you feel no good, cowardly etc. You become uncomfortable and this disrupts the way you play greatly.

Getting out of these spells is difficult and I was wondering if anybody has a method of what they go through to pull themselves back up. I have read that players will walk away from the table for 5-10 minutes. Even though they lose a bit in the blinds they know it will make them more comfortable and level headed when they get back to the table, so it's an easy price to pay.

Me I just try to tighten up and play a solid value game. If I'm playing horribly and a good hand comes along where I chip up [or double up] I'm instantly back in the mental area where I can play my best.

This is a bit of a rambling, just wondering if anyone else feels the same.
