Ok, I've tried to explain this game as clearly as possible, and I hope people will start playing this Amsterdam-version of Chinese poker :)

The Rules

You combine your 13 cards into combos, remembering the following:

1) 2 is highest, 3 is lowest, and the suits from high to low are: spades, hearts, clubs, diamonds

2) on a single card you can only play a higher single card, on a pair only a higher pair, on a three of a kind only a higher three of a kind, and on a straight you can play any higher 5-card- combo (from high to low: straight (5 in a row), flush (5 of one suit), full-house (3 of a kind + a pair), carré (4 of the same card + a spare card), straight flush (a straight of one suit), royal flush (AKQJ10 of one suit).

3) If you can't or don't want to play anything, you pass. If every player passes, the last player to have layed down cards may lay down anything he wants.

4) The royal flush (AKQJ10) is basically the highest straight flush. This doesn't apply to the straights!!
The highest straight is the A2345, then the 23456, then the AKQJ10 and so forth. For the straight flushes, the royal is highest, then A2345, then 23456, then KQJ109.

The Play

You play the game with 4 players, each player receives 13 cards. A standard deck of 52 cards is used with no jokers. Play is anti-clockwise. The objective is to lose all your cards.

The player with the 3 of diamonds plays it in a combo or single card in the first game, next game the winner of the previous game starts with any cards he/she likes.

The Deal

The winner of the last game deals and lets any other player cut the deck. The winner/dealer lifts the deck at any chosen height and looks at the card. The dealer then puts the pile of cards he lifted from the deck back on top and starts to deal the first card to the player that numerically corresponds to the card seen at the dealers lift. The dealer is A, the player at the right-hand side of the dealer is 2, at his right is 3; so the dealer is A, 5, 9 and K.

Also, when a player only has one picture-card (J, Q and K; the A and 2 aren't considered picture-cards), he may request a redeal, and the request must be granted.

Some people do play with the A and 2 counted as picture-cards though, and then the player may request a redeal with only one picture-card or only two J's and the request must be granted.

The Scoring

You get points for the amount of cards you've got left in your hands when a player goes out.

1 - 9 cards: The amount of cards + 5
10 - 12 cards: Two times the amount of cards + 5
13 cards: Three times the amount of cards + 5 (44!!)

The first player to get 100 points, loses, and the player with the least amount of points wins the game.
