What The Duck???
Platinum Level
Recently the two poker sites run by Amaya introduced some poker sit and go variations that are not exactly poker.
The 3-handed "spin and go" and the "flip-outs".
That isn't really poker, as you need to stay in the game at the first round or you play a very fast blind structure with two other players, either hitting some good hands early or blinding out really fast. The bait is a multiplied prize pool.
I tried some of the "Spin'n'Gos" (free tickets from deposits or tourneys) and made me some money, but I absolutely hated that style. Not once did a multiplied pool occur(in fact in the most of them the pool was less than the collective buy-ins), negating thus the bait for participating in them.
I tried twice the "flip-outs" with some tickets from free-rolls and didn't make it in the first round, so I never played.
How do you feel about these types of games?
Did I miss a point?
Are they interesting or profitable for any of you?
