After cahsing out some (ie. most) of my roll to pay for urgent expenses in October, I had to cash out ALL of it (nearly 6 hundos) again this week because:

a) I sprained my knee badly on the job and it looks like I won't be able to work for 3 months (and the governing body that pays a % of their salary to injured workers is hella slow, like 1-2 months). We are also having the best winter in 10 years here and my job is... ski coach.
b) I puked blood after taking too strong medication togheter (thanks Tramacet right after Benylin cold) and the pills that help me recover are also costly.
c) Christmas is coming.
d) My car broke down again.

At least I don't live in a counrty plagued by war, but a break would've been nice since I was looking at poker as a nice hobby/income in the next year and now it's looking like I'll be grinding the 70FPS and then the micro SNGs once more...

The problem with cashing out your bankroll is that you're missing out on so much profit. The absolute profits increase exponentially as your bankroll increases.

Turning $5 into $50 wins you a massive $45 while turning $500 into $5000 wins you $4500.

I understand that you may have no choice. But instead of cashing it all out, leave yourself at least with $100 or something. Rebuilding from there just makes so much more sense.

I would have had these as good reasons NOT to cash out and play more! especially a and d.

On the bright side if bad luck does come in three's then you've pretty much paid your penance! :)

What I'll probably do is redeposit around 400 once everything comes back to normal and go back to grinding .50/1 LHE. Should be back to where I was in a month or two.
