Las Vegas is an obvious choice. What other cities would you say would be good cities to retire in if you wanted to retire and just play poker?

Los Angeles? Florida has become a poker haven... Miami?

Macau? London? Bahamas?

I'm thinking more live poker rooms, but online poker friendly areas would be great, too. What do you all think?

Yes , Los Angeles has plenty of big poker rooms running many different kinds of cash tables and tourneys ( and Vegas is close too ). there are lots of wealthy people playing in home/private games as well . Sadly though , online room choice is quite limited.

Macao It seems that it would be the new Vegas for the future since large, good tournaments have been held here for a long time with well-known players, but I like the idea that playing international poker is not located in a single place and well, if not It is worldwide for people who find it difficult to travel and experience it. Let this continue to grow.

I would rule out a couple of the fastest growing states:

WA has tons of casinos but the ability to play online is very limited.

ID has very onerous taxes on gambling.
