I just got done reading an La times article on poker and why it should be legalized etc. Greenstein goes on about how online players are making the game more vulnerable to threats against minors playing and all that good stuff. Does he realize his major sponsor is an online poker GAME!

I am outraged about this, bc i would think these pros would have our back but i guess not. If anyone sees him in person feel free to release some hate on him.

His major sponsor (assuming you mean poker stars and not the whales at the Bellagio, FWIW) takes its responsibility to discourage minors from gambling pretty seriously last I checked.

Got a link to the article so we can all see what he actually said? Greenstein has always struck me as one of the most respectable, sensible and straight-talking pros so I'd be very interested to read his comments in context.

No need for the pointless video in the middle of the post, BTW.

I would think a lot of the old school pros would resent on-line poker.

I heard Howard Lederer once say that it takes upwards of 1 million hands to fully learn all the intricacies of poker. So this means that what use to take pros a decade or more to learn, On-line players can learn in less than a year.

I don't think the old pros resent online poker. It has opened the world of poker to millions who otherwise might never have gotten involved it. Some of those millions have probably lost millions to the old pros in live games I would also guess the old pros pretty much pick and choose when and where and with whom they play, avoiding situations and games they have absolutely no desire to be a part of. IMO

This was this guys 1st post. Usually, when a new member posts something negative about someone or something (i.e. poker site) as their 1st post, it means they don't like them/it lol.

Barry prob felted him @ a casino or something & he's mad

OP can PM me a link then I'll consider re-opening this, but a cursory google search comes up with nothing, so I guess the 'interview' doesn't exist.
