Nothing more satisfying than putting in hard work and seeing it pay off.

And there is nothing more satisfying putting in almost no work at all, and still seeing it pay off.

Switch is trying to say that you never want to have that mindset. Rather than thinking "time to win my money back", you should be thinking "time to build a bankroll".
When you have the first mindset, you will begin to deviate from your normal, money-winning play. You will begin to make plays that you believe will help you "regain your bankroll". Rather than getting your money back, you are losing the money that you already have by playing poorly.

Deposit $500 and play a HU match for that. And then if you lose put $1k on and play a $1k HU match. Just keep going until you're up overall or you've lost like a million bucks and there's nothing higher to play. Then just cry.

But in all seriousness looks like you're doing well. The $400 is gone. It'll always be in the back of your mind but do your best to forget about it. You can't control the past. You can learn from the past and control the future though. Work on doing that and good luck :).

I have a suggestion for all of us! Me included.... get some professional help because we are addicted.... and the sad thing is that the poker sites know it and will continue to deliver rigged bad beat after bad beat because we keep renewing our bankroll. Online is too easy and they know it. I don't play my cash online anymore. Only at a casino and although I still get bad beats.. and do my share of suk outs.... I am up on my bankroll. Reality bites!
