Moving to Canada to become a Citizen would take IMO at least a year just to be considered a resident but how many years to be considered a real citizen. I am sure they expect more than just one year of residency to be considered Canadian.

To move out of the USA for a poker site, that just seems very unreal.
I don't think anyone suggested becoming a citzen of another country in order to play online poker (I believe it was 'move to another country').
You don't need to be a citizen of a particular country to play online poker while staying there.

There are hundreds (.. maybe thousands?) of players who are US residents but now living elsewhere to play online poker. (scroll larger buyin MTTs & you'll see a large number of 'canada' 'mexico' & 'CostaRica' in the lobby who were formerly USA).

I am A proud Canadians and I'd like to say I play PS! It's just celebrating their 100 billionth hand and their is just too many promotions to miss out on. full tilt poker seems a little bit too sketchy for my liking, and I don't know if I should trust them after their bust. Well if you want to wager me sometime or just check my profile, just hit me up a pm and I'd be more than glad to show my account statistics!

FYI - pokerstars now owns Full Tilt, so they should be seen as equally sketchy or equally non-sketchy (minus small fluctuations).

no offense to anyone cause i live in europe and we still can play online here. but man it sure sounds funny moving to a new country to play poker. i can only imagine how much it sucks not to be able to play. i hope they make it legal again. good luck fella.
We can play in the US. Kinda. I mean, US-facing sites are pretty thin on the ground, but they exist, and they have some action. Unfortunately they all have drawbacks/tradeoffs:

-BetOnline and Bovada are lol-soft, but they don't have rakeback so you can't make any real money from them unless you play like NL100 and up (also Bovada is anonymous which is ghey, and BetOnline has very little action).
-Revolution has a generous rakeback program, but it mostly has pretty tough action.
-Winning sites have both good rakeback and soft competition, but they have almost no action.
-Merge is ew-tough (mostly because Carbon offers a free HUD), and it has this stupid VIP program in lieu of actual rake.

Right now the best US-facing site is probably intertops. It has as much action as any non-USA site, it has a killer rakeback program, and it's a sportsbook so it's mad soft.

Naaah. You get a standard deduction on worldwide income taxes up to like 100k so most people don't have to pay shit.

Funny story as I am located in New Mexico, and probably a very short disstance from the border.

However, I for one like the United States and how they govern shall I say markets and the like.

The US is looking out for people not allowing PokerStars. There is a reason why PokerStars is not allowed here and I for one back the US up.

Moving to Canada to become a Citizen would take IMO at least a year just to be considered a resident but how many years to be considered a real citizen. I am sure they expect more than just one year of residency to be considered Canadian.

You may also need to learn a few things about Canada. Learn their History and show that you have a love for the Country and a genuine interest in being Canadian. Then I think you will take a step towards your goal.

To move out of the USA for a poker site, that just seems very unreal.

A note. I would not purchase for money from anyone a bank account or whatever it is they are selling. Ask PokerStars Support if that is legal for whatever Country you are trying to do this from. They may say they don't care and if so ask the Country you reside in. I am sure this is illegal activity. I would'nt put any trust, use your own name that is why you were given one.

Wow, is this a level?

I can condense this post, to save reading time, 1 paragraph at a time.

"Geography fail (CANADA), political fail, understanding BF fail, citizenship fail, sincerity fail, understanding what it means to play poker as a profession fail, making sense fail".
