wow, had forgotten about this thread. Made it a few years back. Seriously though, even after having played many hands throughout the years, i still ask myself the same question. Is it even possible. It seems as though the answer goes closer to NO year after year since the fields are getting tougher and the regs better.

I haven't read all the posts in the thread but I don't think I saw an active CC member with 100K+ in winnings posting in here.

I've made well over 100k but I played full-time for several years and am far from rich.

if you want to make money off poker, I suggest getting off the online poker and going to casinos and playing live. There's more fish in the casinos. I never profit from online poker in fact I always lose which is why I don't deposit money into online sites anymore. But whenever I play at the casinos I always walk away with a profit of $200-$600 playing a 1/2 NL after a few hours of playing.

I too have these aspirations. There is a recipe to win. 1000's know it and make it their living.

I currently am a 8 tabling the micros. I make small profits (still improving). But i intend to climb. If i can 8 table, 5 days a week, for 6 hours (approx 5000 hands per day, 1.2mill a year) and have a realistic (although very good) long term win rate of 2bb/100 - My yearly salary would be:

2nl = $480
5nl = $1,200
10nl = $2,400
25nl = $6,000
50nl = $12,000
100nl = $24,000
200nl = $48,000
400nl = $96,000
600nl = $144,000
1000nl = $240,000
2000nl = $480,000
5000nl = $1,200,000

So if i can make it to 400nl i will be incredibly proud of myself.

I will do it, or die trying!

Unfortunately the peter principle will take effect somewhere along the way there. Your better off getting more tables on the screen and playing more hands than increasing the stakes.

I play poker 10 hours a day, sometimes more.
Mostly be in big plus but it desires that the more I win I cause the eventually zeroed, and so always start over.
In the same way, and all I know, all end up at zero.
