keep track of all good! but more important is dealing with the tilt, you can keep track of missed plays and winnings! but what good is learning how to lose and correcting errors! will always be the varianzqa !!! inclination will have no effect if one is psyched that losses are a passing thing!

I have been keeping track of my stats in a similar way thru Excel, however, for me, it does not help me "not" tilt.

The only solution I have found to get over my tilt, is to take a break. Sometimes for hours, sometimes for days.

Luckily I do not tilt easily, and realise my own bad plays.

I was bored and am still bored btw, so I took al lookk at the membership stats on this thread and found that 91.5% (rounded down) of the posters are no longer active here and it goes to show that the poker rooms are dependant upon the poker forums to bring in new players that will enjoy the game as a hobby or a source of income as much as we do.
Cardschat is the first that I have seen to use social media to aid the fat cat poker rooms in achieving their goals. If you are listening pokerstars et al., you should be tossing a few extra marketing perks (freerolls and swag) to these peeps that are doing a lot of front line marketing for you. And that is all I gotta say about that. :)

Whenever I make a bad decision or get a bad beat I do push-ups. Sounds weird I know, but it helps me not tilt

Just giving some people a suggestion or two about avoiding tilting.

What I have done recently is started keeping of my stats by week (manually, in an excel spreadsheet). Just keep track of my beginning bankroll on Monday, and then my ending bankroll on Sunday. It has helped me to kind of keep my mind in the bigger picture a little bit, especially in times when I am losing for the day, but am still up on the week.

When I started playing, my biggest problem was that I tilted a ton. I was definitely beating 5NL overall, but when I had days when I would lose 2 buy-ins in a row (which is common, and happens to good players too!), I would go crazy. I would say to myself, "I used to have $70 and now I only have $60!" So then I would go try to win it back in blackjack or something, and ultimately end up blowing my bankroll.

For me anyways, it helps to keep an eye on the bigger picture. If you're struggling with the same thing (feel like you're winning 75% of your sessions, but tilting a whole bankroll away when you're losing), I would definitely suggest something like this.

That quotes my style to the fullest. I am going to do this for sure. I am kinda glad its not only me:D

control is very important according to bankroll the big players .. is the hardest part of poker. so you have to be very careful when you are on tilt .. that's where you have to control because you can lose a lot of what it takes to win. you must always set goals to keep a lot of money and retire knowing when you're winning too, because want to win but sometimes lose everything.

I am relatively new to poker, I am a trader so I don't tilt but find your posts interesting. For what I am reading apparently all this "tilting" comes from a sense of entitlement: you lose when you should have won with your cards (or so you think). This is simply not true, it is a game of statistics and psicology and knowing how to read your opponent, cards mean nothing and have no value until you have a winning hand on the table.

Great sugestion, not only look daily results, but the results generally for a period of time. Graphical analysis also helps.
