People popping all over. Never knowing who is who and missing if a seat changes quickly and the calling station fish is now a tight ass. Or vice versa!!!

It seems to make the game softer.

Too bad there isn't rakeback, they would be the easiest games to beat :)

I really like it. I do not use a poker tracker software so I feel it puts everyone on a level playing field.

I think its fine--- it can make you be more attentive to what going on at the table since you dont have any notes on any of the players-
I think bad players will play bad no matter what-- it doesnt matter that they're anonymous-- that wont change much

I don't seem to mind it at all. I think it's better. It helps you by being more attentive . like Marsd said.

Imagine playing on a table and you see a professional name next to you. THe name alone scares you and you stop playing poker and start making mistakes that you normally wouldn't do.

At Bovada - if you know how to play - everyone is a professional (or a donk) and you just have to make sure you pay attention to the table.

The same argument can be made against that by saing "I call an all in from a person with no reputation" or "I'll fold from someone who wouldn't go all in unless he had the nuts" due to player history, etc.

I hypothesize that it makes bad players play even worse ...

Agree/disagree/no opinions?
For me, the anonymous lobbies at Bovada are a deal-breaker. I am a HU sit-n-go tourney specialist and game selection is the single most important factor in being profitable. As a result, I will never play there unless that policy changes.

I could speculate on the impact of anonymous lobbies for other games, but I won't because I have no experience there and my speculation could be wrong.

Good luck.

Your thinking can go both ways. If you're a successful HU SnG player then on sites where they are seeing your name then they might choose to avoid you knowing you're a solid player. But on Bovada they would have no idea who they're playing.

I have a lot of experience with this, and I can tell you from experience that the players that AREN'T game selecting will sit me. Most of them are fish.

The players that ARE game selecting won't sit me, especially the online grinders.

This is exactly how I want it.
