It was $535 buy-in.
I finished 17th out of 166 entrants.
Prize was $220. ????
$500 times 166 entrants should be $83,000 prize pool instead of 25,000.

Am I wrong ?
Please be kind to teach me about my wrong calculation.

I have played a tourney or two and typically pay outs are 10%. Which 166 entrants would be about 16 or 17 people. Here, you usually at least get your buy in back if your in the money. However, it is up to the house, and your pay out may be accurate depending on structure. Highlighting the importance of finishing in 1st or 2nd and maybe 3rd to be successful in tourneys.
