Having convinced my wife it was worth my while playing for real cash back in May, I duly enrolled with Full-Tilt Poker. In my naivity I made my first deposit, and then proceeded to systematically lose every cent. It was at this time that I discovered the freerolls, playing once a night on the UK freeroll for a petty $15 seemed crazy for up to 5 hours of play, but I thought it would be a good way to get experience, playing the 'long-haul' games. After all I could play more hands than at the micro stakes tables.

This limited me to one tourney a day, except weekends when I would play the 'Face the Ace' SNG's, and not being that experienced I was dropping out sooner rather than later. I needed more!

However, and herein lies the problem, now that I have discovered the Private Freerolls I find myself logging on to almost any forum site to obtain the passwords, although I have accepted that I have to be in for the long-haul on Cardschat! :D

My playing time on FT has reduced and like a lover spurned I am now playing in a number of other poker rooms. So, I put it to you good people, am I cheating on Full-tilt?

shopping around for the best deals you can get on the poker sites is not cheating. Thats like asking if people are cheating by moving from site to site to take advantage of the deposit bonus.

though be careful with the latter not all sites are legit, I almost signed up $750 deposit a while back to a site with an atrocious reputation fortunately I did the research and avoided the disaster. For starters stay well clear of pit bull poker they offer amazing incentives but from what I have read do not let you cash out.

I don't think free rolls really offer the proper experience you need. for starters a lot of people go all in very loosely and would never do that if it was for real money.

I have in the past when too tired to play poker properly found a free roll and just shoved all in very loosely whilst watching tv. Normally when my internet connection is playing up and there is nothing to do. the thing is the prize money is usually crud and and no one really cares.

I really don't think free rolls is the best way to learn. I think getting a good poker book and reading it through then starting with a micro bank roll and playing a few mtts would do you so much better.

I would recommend the 90 player $3 ko sit and goes on full tilt, I doubt after doing some studying of basic concepts and only playing one of these at a time that you would go bank rubt with a roll of $50. I reckon with 50-200 of these depending on variance and your learning rate you could have $300 easily enough to move over to single table sit and goes and start building a proper roll.

Gotta go where the money is. Nothing wrong with that.

Just be careful when you build up bankrolls on several different sites. Not good to have them all spread out. I recommend consolidating at some point when you have a decent amount in them.

I have been playing onlne for less than a year.i started playing on my local poker sights Silversands & piggspeak.the curancy is in Rands which value is $1= R0,12 cents.so for every $1 will cost me R8 which is very expensive for me.

When i joined FT i started playing the free rolls and won $2 and $2 there and now play the micro cash games to increase my bank roll and improve my play.

I am now on $18 and will start slowly moving up the ladder.

My point is to play the freerolls to get a little mony to play the cash games so u can build a bankroll and dont just enter a free roll for the sake of entering it.u learn nothing playing those so pick a few sights and only play on those. have not put a cent into FT, but with some patince can build a bank roll .(i still play on my home sights R1/R2 which is simmaler to the same standard as $1/$2.i just want to build my bankroll so i can play these blindes.and i first joined CC so i can play in there freerolls, but as it happeneds i have learnt more belonging to this forum and i think the freerolls (when i get to play them will just be a nice bonus).
