I am not sure which section to post this in so I put this in General Poker as a weird poker situation.

I had 22 on the button and raised preflop. Shortstacked BB shoves all in, I was getting better than 3:1 so I called. He had 9J suited of diamonds.

The flop comes 8510 with one diamond. According to Carbon's odd calculation, I was already a slight underdog despite having the best hand at the moment. Then the turn brings 8d which makes me a 4:6 underdog despite again having the best hand at that moment. He could win with any diamond, any 8, any 5, any 10, any 7 or Q, and of course J or 9.

I had 2d so he "only" had a whopping 27 outs!

He ended up hitting a flush.

I don't recall ever having a situation like this.

yea thats the problem with playing small pairs. I wouldnt have raised preflop with a short stack yet to act without him being really small, like 4 or 5 BB.

He only had about 7 bbs left.

I overcounted his outs. He couldn't win with an 8. But still 25 outs. I was behind from start to finish.
