So I saw on Amazon that Harrington is releasing two new books (Volumes 1 and 2) on how to play in cash games. This, following his three "book" set on tournament play.
Volume I : 400 pages. Cost: $34.95
Volume II : 374 pages. Cost: $34.95
So it seems Harrington has a brilliant formula for extracting dollars from poker players. Maybe I'll do the same and follow this formula:
- Write a 400 page book about poker. Put LOTS of hand screenshots in it. Add in lots of workbook questions. That should pump it up to about 700 pages.
- Split the book into two books.
- Double the reasonable cost of each individual book.
- Take in $70 from people when they should only be paying about $24.99, and make them think it's a bargain and have people on internet forums defend it by saying "but it's an investment in good play and you'll make it back if you put the practice to good use."
See you March 14, 2008 at Amazon!!!!
