It all depends on the discipline of the player and the plan before the start of the game. In my case, as soon as I duplicate, I'm leaving the table.

I seem to never be able to walk away from PLO cash games no matter how much I've won or where my bankroll is currently sitting. I know when I should walk away, but I never do.

Guess, as you said, you should leave when you are tired, when you lose your patience.

I get up when I lose 1/2 max buy-in or 2 hours. Seems to work good for me. The only site I play cash on is Global, and between the fish, the set ups and the run outs its very difficult. I know online poker is brutal, but its ridiculous.

Often times what can happen is you become acutely results oriented, remembering what worked for you last time and trying to utilize it; even when the situation may be different and call for a different strategy.

Try writing 100-300 words after each session about the session and maybe spend 20-30 minutes reviewing interesting hands if there were any. The simple aspect of having to remember and write about things you did well, things that you did poorly, things that need improvement etc... will help you avoid having this results oriented downward swing after going slightly up.

The right moment to leave a cash game is a matter of experience and study of the selected cash game. You must count what is your average winnings in the game and act in time, having in mind a developement in your profit.

The exact same thing is happening to me.
after my deposit, I feel focused, eager to play good and I do, usually doubling or tripling my BR, but then I lose that sharpness and start failing and losing.
It usually starts when I start a session, and lose a buy-in, regardless of it being a bad beat or not.
I am either angry that I played bad, or that I got unlucky so it's the same thing. The real problem starts right afterwards when I feel the need to return that money, which leads to rush decisions and just bad poker..

My solution was to play more cautiously when facing shoves, and not going for another buy-in if I got angry after losing the last one.

Stop playing when your draws magically stop connecting and your villain's draws start hitting one after the other.

To me 2NL seems like a waste of effort. If at $1/2 you can make $17 to 28 dollars hourly what would be the point at 2NL. The effort to squeeze a profit margin in cash games is competitive online. To answer your question I would leave when I realize no one is making any big mistakes. No fish or donkey at cash no reason to play. When I play cash I usually go with HU because I can isolate donkeys. Sometimes i play like a donk.

Cash Games

You should set up a time to play cash game for example two hours or four hours past it must leave the table.

Another tip is if the game is not what you most fits that table very tight type or agressive you shoud look for a best fit table with your game style.

Wow I have a really good question, I also suffer from this problem, I think you need to set aside playing time, and pause time, if anything helped you tell me!

I leave a cash table when 1 of a few things happen.

1. I feel I am not playing at least my B game
2. I'm tilted
3. I've reached my goal for the # of hands or hours I wanted to play for the session.
4. The spot at the table has left/ the game has broke or is short handed.
