The ability to open up your game and change gears during play is essential and sperates good poker players and great poker players. A good player is disciplined and sticks with a particular modus operandi. A great player will change up his play sporradically in order to keep his competition in a constant state of query. A player that is constantly playing only premium
hands will be pegged as such rather quickly at a table and will limit the action he receives because when he does finally play a hand, he is automatically placed on a big hand forcing out people that might have called another player while they hold suited connectors or low to middle pairs.
Nick asked me to write some articles for posting here on CC, and the first topic I chose was this very subject. He emailed me this morning and said he would have them up sometime today. I will post the link in this thread when he notifies me that they're up so that anyone interested can read them.
