caveat with loosening up in the sb jake! dont aim for a massive % just steal when you think it's gonna be profitable, super wide oop vs passive fish gonna be bad and there gonna be a lot of them in your games, reg to your left who doesnt defend enough, yeah go to town ATC

Thanks for the replies so far everyone! Trying not to play so spewy lately so I only have some small spots.

Little suggestion for any micro player. Start using your popup HUD. Its so amazing :)

Hand 1

Got a hand here where I really struggled on the turn with.

Fish was in the SB so I figured if he called I wouldnt mind playing a suited A IP vs him.

Only problem is the button player was unknown at the time.

Should I check back to turn or should I jam?

Dunno how I'm not in this yet, I know I saw it...

So in.

Also, this may have already been hinted at, but if you're cbetting 92% and opps know that, then the % effectiveness of your cebts will be lower, and that'll be a big part of red line losses.

too thin

+ he's polarised here so raising isn't optimal (AK hand)

I think thats why I didnt. Hes pretty much just got air or the nuts I think but I think I was seeing what hands he would v-bet OTR vs my perceived range. Probs bad though i think its just a easy call.

Any thoughts on this one? :)

Looks fine to me tbh. Though I was just listening to a podcast where they talked about spots just like this... Opener, we flat, someone squeezes, original raiser folds, we back-raise. They basically said that people sometimes do really wacky stuff when facing back-raises, plus we are getting an insane price here, so I'm never folding. I'd def consider just flatting the squeeze though, against such an unknown.

I really was considering it cause hes 80bb stack I figured he was a fish so I figured just GII when the pot is big already is best.

Cause like if I flat the SPR is ~1.5 and I dont want to fold the flop :( dk though im spewy

Mmm, didn't notice stack size. Yeah think flatting is likely close to GII pre, but GII is certainly simpler, and like I said, I expect to see a fair amount of spazz here when he faces the back-raise.

I think cause of sizing this is a fold but we are at the top of our range vs an unknown...

I think a fold is fine since he is unknown, but my spewy nature calls cuz i just "have" to see.

Can we ever raise the turn?

if he triples AJ/AT we have to call.

I probably call coz i'm a station, he's on the BTN, his stats even though its 7 hands indicate aggro, and we're near the top of our range

No. Why would you want to jam the river?

Cause the only hands I think he calls with pre and doesnt 3 bet but raises the turn is like A8/88/A5/55 and since we have blockers to a lot of those I think hes more likely to have a draw or something like T9, KQ, KT or just purely spazzing cause hes a fish. Rivers a blank imo.

Eh yeah, your post only adds to what I was trying to point out. That his line indicates a pure bluff or 2P+. So why are you raising? Most other 2P hands beat you so you can't be raising for value. Looking at your line he is never folding his value hands if you shove so your hand doesn't work as a bluff either.

To summarize, you can't bluff out better hands. You can't extract value from worse hands because he is so polarised. On its own your hand is strong, but relative to his line your hand acts as a bluffcatcher and little more. His value range destroys you and is never folding.

I would be calling to catch out all his missed draws.
