I been reading "Super Systems" and he talks a lot about position. He even states that if he was on the button all night he could wipe the table out and not ever look at his cards. He is obviously talking about live games because the book was written before the onset of online poker. I realize that acting last has benefit but is it near as important in online poker as live games. I am starting to think that when I play by the cards in my hand I do better than playing a person because there are not the tells online that you would get in a live game. I understand that if I'm up against a tight player and I am last to act that there is a definite advantage but it seems like the average player out there doesn't react in a way that makes bluffing from late position profitable. Raises, reraises, and large bets from late position have been getting called on me lately by dogs that seem to catch cards or just have me beat outright but they should have never called. I don't know, maybe NL ring games are just not my thing. I seem to do OK in limit rings and NL tournies but get my ass handed to me in the NL rings.
