I recently dove into the Ohmaha games at FT because they had so many available tables. Within 5 days I was up $400+ playing PL tables mostly.10/.20 or .25/.50. I could afford to see alot of hands and only get involved in big pots if I really liked my hand. It worked great....untils yesterday when I lost 300+ at these same tables. Constantly getting sucked out yada, yada. Should I tighten up and move to limit tables? Or was it just a bad run?

Any one with some Ohmaha experience please give me some ideas.

Omaha or Omaha8?

The variance in PL Omaha is lethal, although I'm not sure I like the concept of Limit Omaha either. Certainly I think Limit Omaha8 is the best place to start in Omaha generally - the variance is lower, the players generally suck and it's a very mechanical game.

Once you're gained some experience and have basic strategy down you can apply what you've learned to PLO8 or branch out into PLO. I'd just avoid limit Omaha Hi like the plague.
