Happy bithday micromachine!

My goals:
1. Defeat 5NL convincingly (none of that "I would be winning if I added EV adj." crap :D)
2. Keep learning
(3.) BONUS: If first two are achieved, start preparing for a run at 10NL in August

1. 5.33 bb/100 (EV adjusted, otherwise it is 10.1  holy crap!) over 11k hands. Mild optimism is rearing its ugly head :p

How many events have you played in the series ?

I think this was #19, and obviously I busted day 1. It was seriously the most tilting day I've ever had like if it were a worse structured tourney I legit would have busted on at least 5 different hands. I got set under set, top two < set, and literally 5 times value bet the river (slam dunk value bets) and had to fold to a raise (all but one they even showed me, and the other one I said "show the bluff?" and he laughed like it was hysterical he'd even have a bluff there). I've just run pretty bad this series and I think was doing a good job of staying optimistic and I think I played really well (I was able to fold in spots I used to just call and see better) just ran bad in one of the most frustrating ways possible at the end of a really frustrating summer. I mean I shouldn't bitch I'm still above ev lifetime in tournaments and knew what I was getting into when I decided to play them, but I'm just so sick of 1-tabling live poker both cash and mtts, but 1-tabling live mtts are even a million times worse than 1-tabling live cash.

Gl HMP, must be a cool feeling if you havent done it before

Still was cool at the start, but yeah this was my 4th ME. Still have yet to cash despite going into day 3 last year as a top 20 chip stack.

Started out great at the Sands' 1/2's tonight till it was nuts vs 2nd nuts every other hand. Just unreal how EVERY time I had 2nd nut flush, 2nd nut boat, 2nd nut straight, villain is holding the nuts. Ended up only down about 220 miraculously. BUT that was from being up about 500 in the first couple hours (13 hr session total). I'm done with July, bring on August already!

First hand of the month and not a fan at all of how I played any street tbh. Absolutely butchered the hand and I felt I created a really difficult river spot given my passive line.

However, because of the unique spot of having a 4way 3bet pot OOP and very wet board vs 3 calling ranges, even with over pair I just felt a bet and bloating this pot wasn't going to be the best. With 2 LAGs + one station I wasn't sure if it's gonna be good leading this particular time. Given we faced 2 folds after a lead I felt I could call and evaluate on the turn. Given the great turn card I was happy; however river I puked a bit.

This is vs a LAG reg, thoughts on each street please and river action and be interested on how you actually approach post flop in this situation given this horrible board texture and multiway.

Bet flop decent. Too draw heavy to check/call... If you are checking it should be a check-raise imo especially given his sizing, only hand to be scared of are sets, why is he betting so small on draw heavy flop? screams of weakness, but I still think betting flop is better. Call turn.
Fold river, the bet size OTT doesn't seem bluffy when you compare it to the river shove, looks more like he's wanting a call and setting up a shove.

5k Venetian main is last one, although really debating just skipping it. I've got a bit of time off but if I still hate 1-tabling live poker that might be the best option. It'll be a smallish, tough field and honestly I'm just tired of Vegas, might even just change my flight and leave early.
