I profited 0.22c. It wasn't the fact I was playing "scared money" it was the fact that I was losing profit on dumb hands that I probably shouldn't play or the villain was playing 72 and hit something. Im always changing between stakes. I played 10NL and doubled up and now my bankroll is at $30 which is obviously not enough even for 2NL. It's not the money thats scary its just the plays that I make and realise how dumb they were. Ive been playing around $20 for ages now but can't seem to get over that hump

Sorry I know I'm very late to the party but I had a third point of view I thought I should add. First, I agree with both of you

1- to welcome new members no matter where they are coming from as long as they want to improve
2- playing scared money and not recognizing variance is simply setting yourself to get pushed around, tilt or lose big.

But from reading OP post I think he meant he encountered high and low swings on all 3 tables, maybe went BI or 2 under or whatever but was able to end the session with a 22 cent profit. All of this was using the new agro strategy that he is not comfortable with atm. So he is just confused and need your help with the strategy/play for 2NL.

OP I would like to know if you use any HUD/tracking software? I believe that is not an option anymore in today's online games and has been my light in the dark. I ask bc by reading your post I get the feeling that you are not using one.

I'm using the pokertracker 4 trial. Today is the last day so I'm hoping I can really get a bit more cash before it finishes. It has helped alot though

@OP: Post hands. I understand that you wont have PT or HEM (if you already had it..) but you can still copy HH to your HD. It IS a PITA to convert if you dont have a tracker, and maybe someone has a good idea how best to deal with this if you no longer have PT4 (or HEM).

But posting hands and explaining all the details of the hand - i.e. any thing you know about opponents - reads, tendencies etc. - as well as your thought process is the best way to improve.

There is no way to say "bet for value" if there is no way to see if value is to be gotten. Some times you value bet yourself out of a stack, so it is good to know how fat or thin your value is.

Any player has a right to feel the way he/she feels. And we all were new to everything at some point.

If all you (collectively) have to offer is arrogance and stupid dickish comments, maybe you suck more yourself. If you were good at poker, you might actually have some constructive advice. If all you have to offer is insults and arrogance, well, I hope to see you at the tables.
