they have like $1k events but i figure i should start with a smaller buy-in to get a feel for how they play. if it turns out that what seems to be an awesome structure is actually an AIDS structure, it's best to find that out in a $300 event than a $1200 event

Weird thing was, 7 of the people at my table knew each other already... Seems pretty reg-filled, weirdly enough. Not sure if I got a shitty table draw or what, but cash games def where the money's at. Not too many people "gambling" in a $200 tournament on a Monday at noon I guess compared to cash tables at 7pm on a Friday.

NOt weird at all, a lot folks seem to live at my cardroom, and play every mtt going but that only if they arent doing too well at the cash tables, some of them even hit the cash tables during breaks on MTTS and if they dont come back, you know they are doing well at cash tables. Either they are making a lot of cash or they are house players or staked players but they never leave and we are 24/7 on weekends here in FLA

Expect a bad structure. I was sort of appalled at how few hands got played per level, and I wouldn't expect a $300 event to be that different. Are the $1k events still one-day tournaments? How big are the fields?

Yeah, just surprised me mostly because the casino is still pretty new - only been around since the middle of May, and only had tournaments running for about a month now.

I could get you this job as a civ working for the Army (assuming you have 8 years experience doing it already in the military of course).

Seriously though those jobs are hard to come by without prior CI military experience.

Yeah, that's the problem :(

yea 1k event is one day as well, looks like the $300 range events offer 15k chips and 30m levels or 20k chips and 30m levels. i wish i could find a way to look at the chip levels to see when antes hit etc

No promises but I would expect antes to hit around level 4 or 5. 15k chips is pretty meaningless unless you know what the blinds start at?

I was sort of surprised by the blind structure at my tourney - the early blind jumps were reasonable, but after the first break I was surprised at the jumps.

Here's the structure for the tournament I played:

I went out just before level 5 hit.

that structure is atrocious

i'm guessing foxwoods events start @ 25/50 w/ 15k chips being 300 BBs

i guess i'll just ask someone that's played if its just complete AIDS or actually has some room for play

at my casino (rivers in pa) there's a structure similar to that, 14k chips, 25/50 w/30 min levels.

It's not bad and a starting stack still is roughly 35 bbs at the end of level 5. (200/400/25)

Not an MTT player, so not sure if that's really good or bad, but maybe someone could clarify for me

Trying to play online poker on hotel internet is like saving you ice cream sandwich for later on a July day. It doesn't turn out that great and when it's all said and done your sticky....
