Here are the updates.

I am doing good I feel. I did try 5NL speed poker which is not shown in the above results. I played like 7k hands and ended up break even so I didn't really like it. The level of play is certainly significantly higher in speed poker and since everyone is playing like a nit so it changes everything.

I also lost 50 quid in PLO and won't be playing it again as its too much of a gamble for my liking.

Now I have moved on to 10NL, I made a pretty bad start but now I have made my recovery and going to give it a "fresh" start. The level of play is certainly higher in 10NL but still plenty of fish and I am confident that I'll become profitable in it soon.

And no I never folded AA or KK pre-flop its just one of those unfortunate scenarios where I go for a piss and come back to see I timed out. Now I always sit out, its too painful to see I folded AA lol.

Hehe... GL man. Playing over 37% of your hands and going to SD almost 32% AND winning over 56% during that time is running like a God basically. You're probably doing some things correct, but it's just not possible to maintain those numbers long term.

Thanks man. :)

Ya I guess the sample is still not big enough to give a true long term picture. But I don't plan on going back to 5NL now unless I suffer a massive loss in 10NL which I hope I don't.

I must add that mostly I played on 2-3 tables which let's me carefully play every situation. Whenever I have tried playing 4 tables I just could not get used to it.

I will be posting my 10NL"fresh start" results when I have a good enough sample. I have changed my game considerably over the course of this run. I used to 3 barrel and C-bet all the time but I have come to realise that those things tilt me too much and are ultimately not really worth it in micro stakes. Its almost that I C-bet too little now which is not good either lol.

I look forward to seeing your updated results. I ran really good when I first started playing a couple of months ago, had the BR for 10NL and then my luck ran out, and I realised I wasn't as good as I thought haha. Still enjoying 5NL now in the green though.

Best of luck

The competition from 5NL to 10NL shouldn't be too different... Play tight but don't be too much of a nit and you should be fine... If you play scared you will not play as well

Disaster happened when I started playing 10NL, I had the biggest tilting session ever and blew nearly 100 quid in a few days. It was a lesson on how important emotional stability is to poker, I was very disheartened that I blew away most of my 4NL winnings so recklessly. I wasn't outplayed or just running into coolers, it was just me playing bad.

Anyways I came back and came back strongly. Obviously my BB/100 is not what it used to be but I am very happy still to have made a comeback. And I have been feeling much better about my game now as I feel I can keep calm much better than before.

I think the biggest difference I have seen in 10NL is the full stack aggressive fish that I hadn't seen much in 4NL. Also some of the regs are definitely better. I feel you just need to adapt your game more as per the situation. Even though I am not sitting on the amount of profit that I expected to but I am still very happy with my game.

Btw bet365 gave me nearly £100 bonus in the last month which has really helped my BR. I won £70 in the premium chase draw on 2 occasions and got myself a reload bonus of £30. I will also be entitled for my first VIP reward next month.

Wow, that VPIP...

I just love your winnings, as everyone else said: you must be doing something good, but the players there have to be super fishy, I mean the amount of hands you play and the profit you make... Your VPIP makes no sense either, yes at these stakes players make a lot of mistakes post-flop, but they don't bleed money. Also, it's interesting how you won so much money with aces. Do people there get hitched to top pairs?

You got me very interested to try bet365. Good luck at the tables ;)

Thanks man is my VP still too high? Its 30 in 6 max and 20 in FR, isn't that actually a good stat? I don't want to considered a total nit.

The money I won with aces is thanks to this thread. I was initially slow playing them a lot but people here suggested that I shouldn't. I now play them really aggressively pre flop and it works great. If I get a chance to 3 bet I am gonna make it pretty expensive for you to set mine me. If I get a chance to 4 bet I am shoving a lot of times and I honestly think a shove looks weaker than putting half your stack in the middle. If I open raised and several people called then I would be totally ready to fold my hand.

And yes there is plenty of fish. You just need to hit your hands and you will get paid. And yes many players do stack off with just one pair.

Mind you there are a dozen or so very good regs as well so you just gotta adjust your game accordingly.

So how much tougher is 20NL compared to 10NL? Is the fact that one is located in low stakes and the other in micro stakes a big factor here? That's what I had always thought.

I do feel though that 20NL must attract recs who do well in life and really don't find micro stakes to be exciting enough?

A friend of mine with whom I play real money live poker said that if he was going to play online poker it would be minimum 10/20p blinds as anything less is a joke. He is not exactly a total fish but I would happily play such a player any day.

In any level of poker you will find fish that have big banks and are not afraid to lose some cash having fun.

Have you seen High Stakes Poker? Billionaires just dying to lose a $100k buy in and reload. There are people like that at 5NL, 10NL, 25NL, 100NL, 1kNL and beyond. Just need to figure out who they are, good luck! :D
