I would totally watch you play these on twitch. Just make sure you have a delay (say 4-5 minutes). You don't want someone at the table watching and seeing your hand while it is still live.

I've actually never used twitch before, but I think I should look into it. Especially if I can keep this rungood going long enough to get a proper roll together. We'll see.

Thanks for the support! I actually expected a ton of trolls but everyone has been surprisingly positive.

I like your style, like a true outlaw. If you are thinking about Twitch check out Open Broadcast System to capture footage. I think it's still free

I may not, personally, follow your bankroll management, but it's all amounts that aren't really going to hurt you, and it seems like you can afford to risk. I've certainly lost more during bad nights at the live card games. It seems like you have a good attitude about it, and I hope you run it up and build a roll for the stakes you want to play.

And this is why you should practice both bankroll management and discipline.....

So I tried to sleep but was feeling all amped up so I logged back in and started grinding. My LAN was to be for 30 or 45 minutes but it stretched into over 3 hours. I mostly was hovering around even (might lose on one table but win on another) then for about an hour I was bouncing between being 100 and 200 down. I was playing 2/4. The last 30 minutes went to crap and I doubled off just about my entire bankroll. Sure I caught several bad beats, but I also made a couple of badly tunes bluffs (that I wasn't super confident would work, they didn't) as well as making some calls when, while I wasn't weak by any means, it was questionable if I had the best hand. I didn't.

Ultimately 3 hands absolutely tanked me. I can't even remember All the details. One I had the bottom end of a straight and he had the top end, another was a riveted two pair that best my turned two pair. I can't remember the 3rd one.

So I'm back at square one. $122 in my online account. Feeling pretty dejected and definitely mad at myself for squandering such a golden opportunity.

Well I had my fun, time to grind more responsibly. I'm still going to stay at higher stakes (I'd rather go broke than grind $2NL or $5NL)

I'll give updates, if I can manage to hang on.... take it from me kids, don't donk of your bankroll! It's no fun!

I'm certainly going to try my best to keep going. And if by some miracle I can succeed in my ultimate goal (building a 10k bankroll) it will be one hell of a thread.....

Ps sorry for all the typos....

Good luck to you. Like others have said, set a time limit. I had the same problems you do, but in live games. After a while I tried setting a profit goal, but it always seemed like I would be just under it and would eventually just bust. A time limit is definitely the way to go. Whether it be just to take a break for a couple of hours or just to switch tables to evaluate your situation. I used to have to drive 6 hours to a casino, so when I went I would on 24 hour sessions sometimes. Taking breaks and naps really helps with your decision making process.

LOL. I was thinking the exact same thing.

I'm trying to understand what is motivating you to rush things. Why not stay at 100NL and limit yourself to two tables. Put into effect a stop loss limit and be a bit more patient.

GL there are some grinders on ACR low stakes cash games. I've found 2 cent 4 cent actually tend to be a little softer than the 1 cent two cent games.

But maybe that's just me

I't sound you know how to build your bankroll you should build it but don't use it all you should leave 30% to the side that way you don't start from 0.

To me it seems to me that you are a little hurried and for that reason it takes you to make mistakes, friend everything is in your head

Well it was quite a night. Decided to play a $44 tourney, missed the money by something like 11 Places. Fortunately I made enough on my two $25NL tables I was playing to break even.

I was about to log off but on a whim I hopped into a heads up $100PLO game. Now I've played a good amount of Omaha and tend to do well at least half of the time, but I'm usually pretty terrible playing hold em heads up, and have never played Omaha heads up, but what the hell let's try something new. And I'm sure glad I did....

Bought in for $100 and cashed out (after the other guy quite me) at $422. Pretty successful night. I'm sure ole dude is steaming, I won 90% of the hands we played, and 99% of the big hands. And he just kept donating. I wasn't playing especially well, just catching good cards, and apparently he wasn't. I made up my mind after the initial double up I'd stay as long as he did, but it only took 20 minutes to quadruple up. He quite at that point. Just wasn't his night.

So here I am, back at $400+

Maybe I can practice a little discipline and stay in the game without having to reload this time.....

I just want to say again, thanks for all the positivity on this thread! I absolutely expected (and probably deserve) to be ripped apart for my complete lack of BRM and losing so much money so quickly (not to mention risking too much too often to win way quicker than I should)

But everyone has been so supportive, and totally nice! That is really refreshing, as the internet these days is a cesspool of negativity.

I know I'm a good player, I just have to play smarter and need to practice BRM. But either way, you guys have been great!

Much love

Go study mathematics, probability, read up on ranges, EV and more before you lose more than you can afford. If you're playing live then also learn to study each and every opponent's physical expressions.

Sure I post about bad beats and losses but I have won way more than I have ever lost. If you're truly down all the time then you're doing something very wrong indeed.

The tale goes that Phil Ivey worked at McDonalds and used every penny he earned to buy a buss ticket and risk it all at the casino. look where that got him. (Its also said that the turney he won that started his up swing was the last turney that he was going to play if he lost, pretty sure he had said that about a lot of turneys though :) )

This is not approved by me, but if you are having fun and not risking your life savings, keep playing and aim for the stars!! Good luck at the tables! :)

Had to take a few days off. I played a $100 tourney, missed the money by 7 spots, 7!!! That had me steaming. So I hopped into a 2/4 headsup short PLO game. It's was up and down up and down but I kept catching the other guy, and then he reload. We started with 400 but by the end there was $1600 on the table (my $200 and $1400 from him) at one point I peaked at $1389. But it's never enough. Eventually he worked his way back (with on huge suck out and one bad call on my part) before inching ahead. We end up getting it all in good but he rivers a funny little straight to felt me. I was up almost $1200 and I didn't quit. What the hell is wrong with me. Next day I played $100 PLO and ran it up to just under $500, and again the other guy came back and felted me (bad call on my part)
Finally I played $25 PLO and ran it up to $80 before, you guessed it. Guy made a turn and pulled ahead then felted me (extremely bad call on my part, this guy played tag and only bet pot if he had the nuts, literally had to have stone cold nuts to pot it, yet I called with a bad flush, he had the nut flush)

And so here I am. All the way down to $59. Why the hell do o do this to myself. I say once I hit my goal I'll stop, but once in there I want more. I say once I build my bankroll I'll practice BRM, but will I?

Once this money goes I won't be able to deposit for awhile, so this may be one of the last posts to this thread for awhile. I'll give an update tonight (win lose or draw) and we'll see how we are looking in the morning.

You still have $59, which at the 1/2 cent tables is quite a lot. Go down to the penny tables, mate, and grind it back up!
