Honestly for me it's always been a choice of playing one or the other primarily.

So when i was playing cash it was grinding 5-6 days a week and maybe mixing in a sunday grind or the occasional live trip.

And when playing tournaments I don't really mix in much cash anymore.

I find once you find the format the suits you it's best to put in a lot of volume at it.
It's what you're sharp at and where you should therefore be putting the bulk of your hours.

Cash games are good because there is no time reference.... I wanted to play for half an hour - I played and left...
Nl 2 is easy to win, Nl 5 is semi-easy. At Nl 10 and above, difficulties begin... You need to know all the tricks in poker, observe strict discipline, play well rested...

On-line, I rarely play Cash games, because I like to see the other players faces when I make a bet, you can get so much information from them when they try to hide a smile or try to bluff at a pot.
In live games, I am able to read quite a few players I come up against, not all of them but some, and once I was invited to a home game at my Son-in-Laws and even before I sat down I had a read on a couple of players who were too "Cocky" and sure of themselves as Poker players, I had one of the easiest games I ever played, and had a great time taking their money from them.
Needless to say I was never invited back to another game. But hey! Such is Life!

When the fun Stops, STOP!

everything is very individual, first, depending on your bankroll, you need to choose the limit to be played and then sit down at the tables, the cash game is good because here you will almost always have a deep stack around 100bb and you will not often have to push preflop like in tournaments, but there is an opportunity to improve your postflop game + variance factor will not play such a big role here as in tournaments where everything can be decided by one coinflip

I agree, but for some NL10 is a very easy limit. It all depends on skill. Good luck!

I like tournament poker more, it has more action...cash poker is more calm and measured, but at the same time it is no less difficult kind of poker

I think just by playing, you'll know if it's worth playing cash game or not.
