It's amazingly scenic and quite remote.

It's FAR from a terrible call. Assuming hero checks back all his non-nut hands that beat villain (99-JJ) and some villain's will even check back 8x, he beats or splits with everything else. He only needs 25% equity to call the river shove. I'd think that once he doubles the turn NOT calling the river shove is worse than calling it.

The only equity I can see for villain is if hero has missed FD or also has A-high...I guess that can make 25% equity.

I wouldn't call it, but then again I am a showdown nit with a negative red line

Missed FD, str8 draws, and A high is way more than enough equity given the fact that hero likely checks back all the single pair hands that beat villain.
