My 0.02:

Start full ring. Basic fundamentals play out best, and you're most likely to more fish here (that's conjecture but in my experience it's true). Less of the play is player dependent (to a degree).

Then move into 6 max when you're comfortable. The play is a little faster, it's a bit more dependent on the individual players and the table as a whole. I think you'll ultimately make money faster on a 6 max.

But, really, it's just whatever format you like better. Full Ring is good for learning as well because most casinos have full ring tables if you want to venture out into the live world.

Obviously it means to pick the one game that is better, but not the other game which is much worse (and a critical error).

I hope that helps.
