Hard question, but does anyone know which set actually makes the most money? I know there are lots of variations of this question, is the pot 3bet, is it 2bet etc etc.

For example. A set of Aces is very unlikely to actually make money as the A on the flop is an action killer for all but lower sets and AK maybe AQ.

I've found that flopping a set of 9s often means that you're off to the races against straight draws.

Set of 6s, they're pretty decent and often have middle set, rather than top or bottom set which is good.

Low sets like 2s or 3s are good, because the board is often low, and can entice overcards to shove.

Does anyone have a database of a few million hands that would care to share?

I've looked at my database of around 550k hands (filtered for only 2nl) and it does indeed seem that AA is the least profitable set. 55/66 are the most profitable are at the top

Found this post interesting. I wish my tracker allowed me to group by starting hand. At any rate I only have 88k hands in there but 99 is also my best performing flopped set.

Good question - interested to see if anyone has the numbers from a big DB.

Anecdotally I lost a buyin to 99 set yesterday - the board was low, straight draws and flush draws were there and I put him on a higher pocket pair JJ+ due to his aggression pre-flop

Yeah, I think one needs a lot more than 500k hands like I have to work this one out. I was hoping someone with a solver could answer haha.
